ABOUT Krista:
Krista Centeno is a graduate student in Counseling and Human Services, currently completing her practicum at Thomaston Counseling Center in Connecticut while also working as a Case Manager at Connecticut Community Care. She is pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and brings experience as a Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT) working with children diagnosed with Autism.
Krista has a strong passion for supporting Veterans and their families, with a focus on helping individuals navigate mental health challenges, reintegration into civilian life, and overall well-being. Her trauma-informed, person-centered approach emphasizes empathy, respect, and collaboration. She is particularly interested in peer support, family therapy, and community-based interventions, and is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment for every client she serves. Krista is committed to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and expanding access to effective, compassionate care.
