On , we join the Georgia Hospital Association in celebrating the dedication of Georgia’s rural hospitals and healthcare professionals. At our facilities in Brooks, Decatur, Grady, Mitchell and Thomas Counties, we are proud to support rural communities with accessible healthcare and meaningful work.

Rural hospitals are essential to their communities, providing not only critical care but also serving as major employers and economic anchors.

Through the Georgia HEART program, you can redirect your Georgia income taxes to support rural hospitals and the patients who depend on them. Donations will be designated to help fund capital equipment needs, facility improvements and direct patient care enhancements. Your gift will remain local, directly impacting the care and healing of patients in our communities.

We’re raising the bar in emergency care!

Emergency nurses at Archbold Memorial and Archbold Brooks recently earned their Certified Emergency Nurse certification!

As CEN-certified nurses, they bring advanced clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and confidence to emergency situations.

We are so proud of their commitment and dedication to professional learning and to taking care of our community!

At our Grounds for Growth event last week, nurses had the opportunity to connect with each another and Archbold leaders over a friendly cup of coffee.

Veteran nurses and nursing students alike networked and learned about opportunities at Archbold. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a lovely morning on Lake Ella.

The main entrance to the Archbold Ambulatory Care Center parking lot will be temporarily closed from Thursday afternoon (Nov. 20) to Tuesday morning (Nov. 25).

During this time, the ACC and Archbold Women's Center can be accessed from the entrance beside Thomasville Family Medicine. This parking lot entrance, located closer to Jerger Elementary School, is shown on the map in green.

The main parking lot entrance, located at the intersection of S. Broad St. and Mimosa Dr., will be closed during this time, but all services at the ACC and Archbold Women's Center will remain available as usual.

Thank you for your patience during this project.

Think va**ng is the “safer” choice? Think again.

When va**ng first hit the market, it was marketed as a healthier alternative to smoking — but years later, the evidence tells a different story.

Whether it’s a cigarette or a v**e, both deliver ni****ne and harmful chemicals that can damage your lungs, heart, and overall health.

“Many people assume va**ng is safer simply because it doesn’t involve smoke,” says Jason M. NeSmith, MD, primary care physician at Archbold Primary Care–Cairo. “But that’s a misconception.”

Learn what the latest research reveals about va**ng and your health — and what you can do to quit for good.
