Virtual Coach Fall Application Open

The HealthMatters Program is pleased to announce that the Virtual Coach: HealthMatters Program application is open for Fall 2022 enrollment. The HealthMatters Program is a health promotion program led by support staff and developed for and by the people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). An adapted version ofHealthMatters has been integrated into the Project SEARCH Employability Curriculum. The Virtual Coach program provides additional training and support in delivering the curriculum. Please see information below on important dates, and how to apply to participate in this FREE program.

Annual Conference https://www.projectsearch.us/
The Project SEARCH 15th Annual Conference will be in-person July 25-29, 2022 at the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor. Registration opens on February 1, 2022. Click here to learn more about the conference. Please let me know if you want to attend. I can pay 20-25 registrations. You will need to use our code GAPS2022 as you sign up and you will not pay registration. The 20-25 will be selected as highly engaged and responsive in addition to those who are brand new. I'll do my best to cover all that desire to go. You just can't get better training!!

Based on feedback, we have combined some of the material and condensed the series to six 2-hour modules. Now, we need your feedback! Join GCDD via Zoom on Friday, May 21 from 10:30 AM - Noon to learn about the plan and provide your feedback. ASL/CART will be provided. You must register to attend.

Teaching and Training for Success Virtual Technical Assistance

We are excited to offer our 8 new Teaching and Training for Success modules for our *new sites* that are launching in the fall of 2021. These 2-hour modules are offered live through the Zoom platform. Members from our National Project SEARCH team will be providing the trainings. The modules will not be recorded. They contain important information about conducting a successful Project SEARCH program. Here are some helpful hints about the training:
•Please attend with your team members (in person or virtually)
•We encourage you to take the modules in order if possible ( #1 through #8)
•It is highly recommended that you complete all 8 modules before your program launches.
•These are beneficial for ALL Project SEARCH team members including:
*Instructor
*Skills Trainers
*Job Developer
*VR Counselor
*Business Liaison
*Managers and Mentors ( #4 and #6 are encouraged)
*Supervisors
