🐾 Today, we're celebrating National Dog Day at Thomasville Care Center! 🎉 Meet Charlotte Elizabeth, our beloved therapy dog, who brings joy and comfort to our residents every week during morning devotion. Named in honor of some of our wonderful residents, Charlotte is now 3 1/2 years old and has been visiting us since she was just 7 weeks old. Her loving spirit and wagging tail brighten our days! 🐶❤️

🌟 We are honored to have Mr. Miller in our facility! 🎶 His wonderful daughter Hanna and partner Rachel shared some incredible stories about him.

Mr. Miller has an amazing talent for writing and singing (though not as much at this age). He plays the piano, harmonica, trombone, and pretty much anything you can think of—all by ear his whole life! 🎹🎺

He has the unique ability to turn anything into Motown magic and has an impressive history as the worship leader at New Covenant Church for over 15 years when Hanna was a child.

He's played with legends like Jerry Lee Lewis, Aretha Franklin, and Joe Cocker! ♥️ It was a true pleasure to witness him come to life while playing the piano and singing.

🌟 Today we celebrated National Senior Citizens Day with our wonderful residents! A huge shoutout to Brandi in HR for grilling up delicious hamburgers and hotdogs—she truly goes above and beyond! Each resident received a special certificate and medal from our activity department in honor of their incredible journey. We are so grateful and proud to have each individual in our facility. Thank you for allowing us to provide exceptional care! ❤️

🌟 Happy National Senior Citizen Day! 🌟

We were honored to participate and donate prizes for the seniors BINGO game at The Scott Senior Center. It was a joy to hear lovely stories from a couple of amazing ladies about their nursing days at the previous facility. We had meaningful discussions about the changes and improvements in exceptional care over the years.

Although we often face comparisons to the old Brian Center and rumors about our facility closing, we take pride in the quality care we provide and the improvements we are continuously making. We warmly invite everyone to come tour our facility and see our commitment to exceptional care.

The Scott Senior Center offers a variety of learning opportunities, health and fitness classes, activities, and games for active adults of all ages.

Led by our talented Ema, the session was not just about art; it was a delightful trip down memory lane. Residents shared stories from their youth, recalling the playful days of street hockey. 🏒💖

Engaging in arts and crafts stimulates the mind, enhances creativity, and fosters connections among our residents. It’s truly rewarding to see their faces light up as they reminisce about their past adventures!

🎉🎂 Happy 75th Birthday to Mr. Myers! 🎂🎉

Today, we celebrated this remarkable milestone with a surprise party organized by his wonderful daughter, Jennifer. His sister came from out of town to joined the festivities, reminiscing about their cherished moments spent at the donut shop, where they would sit for hours, reliving his fondness for wrestling and the occasional Miller Light.

Jennifer shared a heartwarming story about growing up thinking they were Irish, only to discover their Scottish roots—what a delightful twist! It was a day filled with laughter and love, especially as Mr. Myers shed a few tears of joy. After facing critical health challenges, he had longing for a birthday celebration was put on hold, and today, that wish came true.

With tears of gratitude, Jennifer expressed how thankful she is that he is here with us, celebrating together as a family. A special shoutout to the incredible staff at Thomasville Care Center for their unwavering care and support, making this beautiful moment possible.

Here’s to family, love, and many more joyous occasions! ❤️🥳

🌟 **A Day of Adoption at Thomasville Care Center!** 🌟

On August 9th, we held a special adoption event organized by our amazing Activity Director, Kee, and led by Kash Satterwhite. Each of our 43 residents had the joy of choosing their very own stuffed animal from a selection of over +40 plush friends, including adorable cats, horses, cows, lambs, and dogs, generously donated by Kash, Mila Rose, and Wynn's family.

The smiles, hugs, and the sweet names given to these new companions truly filled the day with hope. Each resident signed an "Adoption Form," promising to love and care for their new friend.

Kash beautifully expressed, "This event was full of hope. I saw hope in the smiles, the hugs, and the sweet names the residents gave to their new animal friends. I couldn’t have hoped for more!"

Thank you to everyone who made this event possible!
