🧈🍪 Happy National Shortbread Day! 🍪🧈

Shortbread has been enjoyed for centuries and originated in Scotland, traditionally made with just three simple ingredients: butter, sugar, and flour. Its rich, crumbly texture is all thanks to that high butter content—no wonder it’s such a classic treat!

Today, our cottage residents celebrated by tasting shortbread made by Walkers, one of the most well-known and beloved shortbread companies around. While our homemade cookies may not quite rival Walkers’ famous recipe, we gave it our best shot—and had lots of fun (and smiles) along the way!
