So why are we celebrating the awareness that Colorectal Cancer (CRC) Awareness Month brings with it? 👇

💙Not only is CRC the SECOND leading cause of cancer death in the U.S. for men & women, but it's the LEADING cause of cancer death for men & women under 50
💙The American Cancer Society (ACS) estimates that 158,850 Americans will be diagnosed and 55,230 will lose their life to CRC this year
💙BUT, when caught in its early stages, CRC is extremely treatable and beatable!

February is American Heart Month! ❤️

Your heart is at the center of everything you do—let’s keep it healthy! Here are some simple ways to care for your heart this month and beyond:

1️⃣ Eat Smart: Choose heart-healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins.

2️⃣ Get Moving: Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise each week—walk, dance, or bike your way to a stronger heart!

3️⃣ Manage Stress: Practice mindfulness, deep breathing, or relaxing hobbies to reduce stress levels.

4️⃣ Stay Smoke-Free: Quitting smoking can greatly reduce your risk of heart disease.

5️⃣ Know Your Numbers: Regularly check your blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels.

6️⃣ Get Enough Sleep: Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night to give your heart a break.

A huge thank you to our incredible team for braving the snowstorm yesterday and espically TODAY! ❄️❤️ While most people were being told to stay off the roads, you showed up, making sure our residents and patients were safe, cared for, and never alone. That kind of dedication doesn’t go unnoticed.

Remember Monday is MLK Day (Martin Luther King Jr. Day).

Why we celebrate it: To honor Dr. King
It commemorates his pivotal role in the Civil Rights Movement and his advocacy for justice, equality, and nonviolent resistance.

It became a federal holiday in 1986 after President Reagan signed it into law in 1983.
