Anger is a normal, healthy emotion. But many kids struggle to understand the difference between angry feelings and aggressive behavior. Frustration and anger can quickly turn into defiance, disrespect, aggression, and temper tantrums when kids don't know how to deal with their emotions.

If your child has angry outbursts, and especially if your child's anger interferes with their relationships and quality of life, it's important to teach them the skills they need to deal with their feelings in a healthy way 💙.

Positive affirmations help kids to gain confidence, contribute to a growth mindset, and allow kids to truly believe in themselves. Our kids need to hear what makes them special and strong over and over again.

A positive affirmation is a statement we say to ourselves to help reprogram our minds to think positively! Positive affirmations help kids (and adults!) to improve themselves, accept themselves, and achieve their dreams. Yes, they’re amazing!

As adults, we impact children’s inner dialogues. This means that kids not only have to say positive affirmations to themselves during zing, but we also need to speak powerful statements to them too.

From waking up in the morning and saying, “today I am happy,” to coming home from a sports game and saying “I am proud,” positive affirmations will make your kid (and you) feel braver, stronger, confident, and filled with joy. Just a few positive words can turn your kid’s day into MAGIC 💖!

The holidays are a time where people tend to comment even more on other bodies or what they're eating. These comments usually don't make anyone feel good. Even when family members give "compliments" about how your body looks (e.g., Have you lost weight?) it can have negative effects.

As a parent, there are ways that you can help your child feel more comfortable in their body by:

- Modeling talking about food and exercise in a healthy way.
- Complimenting your child on qualities other than their appearance or body.
- Avoiding talking about or using exercise as a way to "work off" food.
