😊 In honor of National Chocolate Milkshake Day, we held our weekly Bingo game today, accompanied by chocolate milkshakes! Florence emerged as our blackout winner and won a special prize! 🏆 As we conclude our busy week, tomorrow marks the final day of National Assisted Living Week, and we anticipate a relaxing afternoon with a movie and pizza for dinner. The fourth day of NALW was designated as Hawaiian Luau Day. A Hawaiian story served as the basis for the left-right game, and a Photo Booth was set up. Participants wore bright colors and Hawaiian-inspired outfits. 🌺 Tonight, dinner consisted of Hawaiian pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, sweet potato fries, and Sunshine cake. Everyone enjoyed the celebratory atmosphere and decor on day 4 of National Assisted Living Week.

⭐️ The third day of National Assisted Living Week was one for the books! The smiles say it all. We would like to express our appreciation to Jerry for sharing his talents with us. 🎤 His outstanding performance filled the room with melodious singing, beaming smiles, hearty laughter, and dancing, thanks to Deb for getting everyone on their feet. 💃🏼The pie and coffee were enjoyed by all. 🙌🏼 The second day of NALW was a resounding success! We engaged in interactive activities with Karen, Cindy, and Kaye. We sang "What a Wonderful World" and played an alphabet game that involved identifying things we find wonderful! 😊 We then expressed our creativity by designing our own prayer cards! 🙏🏻 Following that, we got moving with exercises led by Toni! 💪🏼 We are truly grateful for our volunteers who dedicate their time to enrich our lives. ♥️ Thank you!

We are excited to "kick off" National Assisted Living Week by celebrating all the Grandparents on Grandparent's Day and hosting a pregame/tailgate party before the Packer game this afternoon! We look forward to all of the fun activities that we have lined up! If you would like to attend any of our events, you are welcome to come celebrate this week with us! National Assisted Living Week is an opportunity for everyone to recognize the role of assisted living in providing care to our seniors! It is an opportunity to also recognize the amazing caregivers that provide the exceptional care to those we serve! We are so blessed to have a wonderful group of tenants and caregivers at Traditions Assisted Living! This year's theme is Ageless Adventure, "Ageless Adventure reminds us that the journey never stops, and adventure has no age limit."

As the first slices of peach upside-down cake were served—golden and glistening—the gentle strum of banjo music filled the room. Mark, the chaplain with nimble fingers, began plucking a cheerful tune that made a few toes tap beneath the table. A great way to spend a Tuesday afternoon!
