The procedure itself is quick! Many patients say it took less time than they expected. In the time it takes for you to hype yourself up to actually get it, the procedure would be done.

If you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA), many vision expenses are eligible to be paid with pre-tax dollars.

That can include:
• LASIK and other laser eye procedures
• routine eye exams
• prescription glasses and contact lenses
• eye drops, solutions, and vision care accessories

If you have an HSA, your employer may also offer a Limited Purpose FSA (LPFSA). This special type of FSA can be used specifically for vision expenses.

LASIK often costs more than the yearly FSA contribution limit, so it may not cover the full procedure, but using FSA or HSA funds can significantly reduce your out-of-pocket cost.

Coverage and eligibility can vary, so it’s always best to check your specific plan details.
