Silverado Thousand Oaks Memory Care Community opened in March 2021 and will serve 82 people with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory-impairing conditions.

Silverado Thousand Oaks Memory Care Community has been designed to provide more than just assisted living. It is a specialized memory care community dedicated to enriching life for the memory impaired.

This morning, our residents got creative with a little Haiku fun! They loved learning about the art of Japanese poetry and turning their thoughts into simple, meaningful lines. Writing Haikus is a great cognitive exercise that boosts focus, memory, and self-expression — and they had a blast doing it!

One of our favorites:
‘A rainy fall night,
She runs real fast to the store,
She craves for ice cream.’

We love seeing their imaginations and minds shine!
