From reading scripture together to staying fit, they share a deep bond, and one of their favorite traditions is color coordinating their outfits every day! Jan and Otto's love story reminds us that finding love and creating special moments are timeless. 🥂💖

Today, we honor Vincent L., one of our incredible Belmont Village Senior Living Fort Lauderdale residents, whose dedication shaped generations of future leaders. From 1969 to 1988, he served as Chairman of the U.S. Naval Academy Committee for Accreditation of Engineering Programs. His leadership established and maintained nationally accredited programs that continue to uphold excellence at the Academy.

Trees have been flown in and placed on the pool deck, sidewalks are being poured, topping slabs are nearly complete, and the AC systems are being installed. At the Gold Nugget Awards, we received the award of merit in the “Best 55+ Housing Community - On-The Boards” award, and at the SAGE Awards, we were honored with the “Best 55+ Assisted Living - On-The-Boards" recognition. 🏆 We are incredibly grateful for these accolades, which reflect our ongoing commitment to delivering excellence in senior living. Our hearts are with the families and communities impacted by the devastating flooding across Central Texas on July 4-5. While we are thankful that our Texas communities, residents and staff were safely out of harm’s way, we are deeply saddened by the loss and damage suffered by our friends and neighbors in our home state.

Huge thanks to everyone who came out and supported our Drive-By for a Cause benefiting Harbor House - Thousand Oaks! With breakfast burritos, hot coffee, and big hearts, we raised $450 to help serve homeless and low-income individuals and families in the Conejo Valley.

Your $5 donations — and generous extra contributions — will directly support Harbor House’s daily Meal Program, which provides meals to those in need. We’re especially proud that our residents have been hands-on in volunteering and helping pack meals every week.

This event wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing professionals, staff, and residents. Whether you grabbed a burrito or simply donated, thank you for making a difference in our local community! ❤️

Our residents recently had the pleasure of visiting Gardens of the World in Thousand Oaks. Established in 2001, this breathtaking park was a generous gift to the city from the owners of a local travel agency. The park showcases an exquisite collection of gardens, each designed in French, Japanese, Italian, and English styles, offering a serene and picturesque retreat for all who wander through its grounds. With perfect weather accompanying our visit, our stroll through the gardens was a truly delightful experience. It was a peaceful day, surrounded by nature's beauty, right in the heart of the Conejo Valley! 🌹

On March 18, 19, and 20, our Memory Care and Programming Department came together in Los Angeles for our annual Leadership Symposium—an important moment in our ongoing journey of learning and growth. 🌟 Led by our corporate experts and joined by Belmont Village President, Mercedes Kerr, and the Senior Leadership team, the event brought valuable insights, connection and collaboration. 🤝🏆

During the gathering, we proudly honored team members nominated and voted on by their peers for showing kindness, generosity and constant support throughout the year. 💖👏 These awards celebrate those who truly live out Belmont Village’s values of compassion and community. 🏡

In honor of International Women's Day, we recently gathered for a heartwarming Women’s Day Tea Social. The event was a wonderful opportunity to connect, share tea, and enjoy delicious sandwiches and snacks. We celebrated the remarkable women within our community, learning about their lives and accomplishments.

A special moment was when the women shared advice they would give to the younger generation during Women's History Month. The conversation was filled with wisdom, encouragement, and support for the future. It was a truly inspiring and meaningful afternoon, honoring both past and present achievements of women. 💗
