Congrats Averie!

🎉 Conejo Recreation & Park District congratulates our 2025 Part-Time Service Award honoree, Averie Lomas, Recreation Leader with the Therapeutics Unit! 👏✨

Since joining the TR Unit in summer 2024, Averie has been an outstanding team member, bringing experience, passion, and heart from day one. Her background supporting individuals with disabilities and her positive, can-do attitude shine in everything she does.

From leading camps and socials to serving as YAE Team Liaison for The Hobbit, Averie consistently steps up, builds meaningful connections, and creates inclusive, memorable experiences—especially during her favorite Karaoke Night!

Averie is a valued and trusted member of our team, and we’re so grateful for the impact she makes every day. 🌟

On July 17th, it was an honor to award the 2025 recipients of the Grayson R. Wolpert Memorial Scholarship to Colin Andrews, Lauren Andrews, and Nadia Rosa at the Board of Directors Meeting recognizing them for their volunteer service with the Therapeutic Recreation Unit and many other accomplishments.

The Grayson R. Wolpert Memorial Scholarship is one of the ways that the Grayson R. Wolpert Memorial Foundation recognizes some of Grayson’s passions, one of them is volunteering with the Therapeutic Recreation Unit serving individuals with disabilities.

CRPD and the Wolpert Family are excited to see Colin, Lauren, and Nadia continue to make a positive impact on their communities as they continue their education.
