Beat The Streets Los Angeles invited RKS to their 10th Anniversary Benefit Gala and International Wrestling Event – the first since the start of the pandemic. RKS donated a coveted RKS Guitar for the event, which was won by LA Laker Derek Fisher. Beat the Streets is an impactful, innovative not-for-profit committed to improving the lives of underserved youth through the sport of wrestling.

We with to and a amp that enables novice guitar players to play like their favorite artists.

The result: a compact, , , -performance guitar amp that celebrates the heritage of guitar amps of the past, while updating their design with appeal into a device.

By transforming the guitar amp into a compact and beautiful , the AMPLIFi was designed to live in any room of the home. Functioning as both a guitar amp and speaker, The AMPLIFi is designed for the lifestyle of the novice guitarist who has limited space and unlimited passion. While the heavy metal mesh screen preserves the DNA of the traditional 60’s guitar amp, the 360-degree grill, upward-facing k***s, Bluetooth, and tone-matching app-enabled functionality of the AMPLIFi brings the guitar amp into the 21st century to meet modern needs.

This led to the largest order in Guitar Center history, selling out in 2 weeks, leading to an acquisition by Yamaha Professional Audio

RKS and a solution to the student debt crises. The result was and .

Student debt has taken the form of an epidemic affecting two-thirds of college graduates in the US. Education is the future, but these enormous educational costs are holding students back from reaching their bright futures.

RKS has designed hundreds of products for companies big and small. The team was drawn to do an independent project, something different, something to make a difference… something for the world. The RKS team looked for problems hiding in the world around us. Student debt stood out. They sought out to offer a solution to the 40 million graduates suffering from debt and the distress that comes with it.

Graduates worldwide are buried with stress and discouraged by the piles of debt on their shoulders. Starting an adult life is extremely daunting with the added burden debt provides. Graduates are trapped as they are limited by the daunting decades of payments ahead.

Our approach puts innovation, engineering and user experience at the center of our process, creating ground-breaking products that consumers bond with and clients keep coming back for.

We are seeking an experienced team member to join our engineering and product development team. Candidates are sought with at least five years’ experience, in the field of engineering and developing consumer and medical products, working on all aspects of the product development life cycle, from development strategies, through fast-fail prototypes, engineering concept development, and ultimately designing complex assemblies in collaboration with electronics engineers and industrial designers to create complete engineering packages for manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned project manager and team player, managing strict project timelines, budgets and resources, and be experienced in creating and delivering polished presentations to clients. RKS team members flourish under pressure and enjoy the opportunity to wear many different hats in a highly collaborative, creative studio that believes in creating the very best.

Position can be contract or full-time depending on skillset and client needs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

>A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design Engineering is required for this position. Masters preferred.
>Candidates must demonstrate aptitude for rapid creation of innovative mechanical/mechanism solutions
>Highly experienced with SolidWorks best practices in solid modeling, surface modeling, assemblies, drawings and design for manufacture
>Client-facing, project management is highly preferred
>Familiar with all common prototyping and manufacturing materials and processes
>Experience with medical product development a plus

Hamilton Prep is a table-top automated liquid handling solution that increases access to precision equipment. This new enables users to make their workflows faster and more precise by bringing to a manually intensive workflow. Microlab Prep provided the category with a compact automated liquid pipetting solution, providing a lab of any size the ability to increase efficiency for users of any skill level to run protocols.
