Myth: Knuckles cracking causes arthritis

Fact: False! Studies show that cracking your knuckles does not increase the risk for arthritis. The popping sound is only a nitrogen gas being released from your joints. Eating beans are a great option to get the vitamins your bones need! It's recommended to soak beans in water for several hours first. This would help eliminate a phytates (Phytic acid) found in any beans that may interfere with our ability to absorb calcium. Plus, soaking beans in water for a few hours allows the beans to cook faster. When ready, get rid of the old water and cook the beans in fresh water!
