A heartfelt thank you to Sharon Loftus and her generous friends at the Beach Cities Quilters Guild in Mission Viejo for donating two stunning, handcrafted quilts to Momentum!

These beautiful, high-quality quilts bring comfort and joy to the children and adults we serve. Your care and creativity remind us how strong our community is when we come together with love and purpose.

Three weeks of discovery, creativity, and connection flew by in the best possible way. From the first high-five to the final goodbye, our campers reminded us what joy, resilience, and inclusion truly look like.

To every volunteer who showed up with heart, every staff member who made the days run smoothly, and every family who trusted us with their camper, thank you. You helped create something beautiful.

Camp may be over, but the memories, friendships, and growth will last long after summer fades.

We’re inspired by the recent move by major retailers like Walmart and CVS, who have joined the push to expand disability access. These changes include optimized acoustics and lighting, power-operated doors, accessible equipment for employees, and barrier-free pathways.

We are sharing this article from Disability Scoop about how retailers are making these important steps forward here: https://www.disabilityscoop.com/2025/07/15/walmart-cvs-join-push-to-expand-disability-access/31537/

Starbucks introduced big changes last year designed to increase inclusivity and accessibility at its stores. Now, several other major retailers are getting on board.

Huge thanks to Angela Choe, Pamela Cheng, and their sons from the Assisteens of the Assistance League of San Pedro-South Bay for helping us prep for camp. Even though the boys were too young to volunteer at Camp Escapades, they each made 25 popsicle stick frames from home to support a special keepsake activity for our campers.

Now we’re looking for more volunteers to join us at our upcoming Framed in Red Exhibition reception on July 26. This is a great way to get involved and support Momentum artists as we celebrate creativity and inclusion.

Watermelon Madness made its debut with a splash of creativity and community spirit. Spearheaded by our Senior Director of Therapeutic Services, John Lynch, this sweet celebration featured six uniquely themed watermelon stands, each one bursting with creativity, collaboration, and flavor.

Every stand was designed and built by teams of staff and the incredible individuals we support. From eye-catching art to wildly inventive watermelon drinks, the creativity was off the charts. A panel of staff judges had the tough job of picking winners. It was truly a fun and festive day for all involved. We’re already looking forward to the next one. Huge thanks to John and everyone who made Watermelon Madness a smash hit.

Our Story

PTN is committed to providing quality services for children with special needs, medical concerns and those at risk for developmental issues.

The dream of a high-caliber therapy and research center for the many families struggling to find services for their children with developmental and medical concerns was realized in 1996 when Pediatric Therapy Network (PTN) was born. Since then, PTN has become a world-renowned, multi-faceted treatment facility. Occupying more than 40,000 square feet of therapeutic space in five locations in Torrance, Inglewood and Long Beach, PTN annually delivers more than 150,000 hours of innovative programs and services to 2,500 children.

The need for PTN’s services continues to grow. Today, with 1 in 6 children diagnosed with a developmental disability, the ability to provide these crucial services is at the heart of PTN’s mission.
