"Yoga was my beacon of hope during the Covid pandemic, which is when I first began practicing. After my free week trial, I was hooked," says , who is now a CorePower instructor in Tustin.

"I loved every bit of my CorePower Teacher Training program. I was surrounded by like-minded yoga enthusiasts, and I got to practice yoga almost daily – how does it get any better than that!? As a child of immigrant parents from India... I was blown away by CPY’s commitment to teaching students about yoga’s important history and cultural significance within the Asian culture. I left teacher training not only feeling confident in teaching yoga, but feeling like a culturally aware and competent leader in the space."

This fall, Asha will take her yoga teaching to Denver as she moves to the area to start her first year as a Clinical Psychology Doctoral Student at the University of Denver! Go Asha!

“Where to even begin! The energy and love I have been surrounded by at Corepower over the last four years is inspiring. The CPY community has been like a second home to me and has created a safe space where I know I can let my guard down and be more in touch with myself and my emotions without judgment. The instructors here all have such a warm calming presence to them and truly care about you and your practice. I always look forward to hearing the wisdom they share with us before we begin. Their wise words and dedication to their practice is admirable and they make it fun! I never leave without feeling lighter, happier and more rejuvenated. The outdoor classes have really given me a new perspective on yoga and I love it. I feel so connected to the earth and grounded; feeling a nice breeze mid sweat isn’t half bad either!! Lol. What the CPY community means to you and what you love about outdoor classes?

“As crazy as the year 2020 was, I am reminded that it started on a very high note for me. I completed Yoga Sculpt Extensions at the end of January and so enjoyed the experience as well as the opportunity to meet amazing new friends. As we all know, the year quickly turned south in March, but again CPY continued to be a bright spot in my day! I have always loved the hot indoor classes, but since they weren’t open or open with a limited capacity, I found myself signing up for all of the outdoor classes. The camaraderie that develops when you are shivering in the cold or being blown away by the wind is amazing! I love all the familiar faces I see each day in TO and WL and the awesome teachers with their upbeat personalities and puffy jackets teaching despite the elements. I will always practice yoga no matter if it is super hot or super cold. The practice of yoga means “to yoke” or join together. That’s what we do at CPY TO and WL!”
