These beautiful creatures live in Griffith Park. They were on a trail traveled by lots of humans. They kept their distance, and remained very aware of their surrounding. Look at how healthy they are! So great to see these beautiful creatures coexisting with us.

First hike of 2026 was amazing with the hills covered in clouds. The trail was wet, but not too muddy. Just the perfect beginning to an amazing day.

After 5 days of rain, we are finally back outside. The view at the top was stunning! Hard to believe we’re just minutes from a neighborhood.

November 16, 2025 storm update. I’m sitting outside enjoying a pause in the storm. Birds are chirping and enjoying nibbles from our grass. Bigger birds like hawks are circling overhead searching for breakfast.

Morning is a precious time of day to call on my spirit guides, and to listen quietly for guidance from within.

Whatever season you’re in right now, I hope you are being kind to yourself. Nurturing and listening to your inner wisdom, and taking steps forward toward the purpose you are here too fulfill.

The beautiful waterfall at the Mount Whitney portal. Even if you’re not a hiker, this is a magical place to visit. It offers a stark contrast to the beauty of the red rocks in the high desert below.

Each morning I step outside and enjoy the sights and sounds of morning. While Southern California doesn’t offer all four seasons, this year we’ve been blessed with rain!

So when the rain started pouring down around 6 am, I took this as a sign from mother nature. I opened my curtains and looked outside. Then I walked outside and watched the rain fall, and enjoyed the wind and the leaves.

These moments give me time to pause. Time to listen, and time to express gratitude for all that is happening in my life.

The rain also brings hope of a strong winter, spring flowers, and water filling our reservoirs.

Please take time to listen to the rain, to feel the cool breeze, and watch the leaves falling. Then with your hands on your heart, listen to the messages that come from within.

Looking for something to do on a rainy day??? Volunteer!!! Food Share of Ventura is always looking for volunteers. We worked two hour shift packing fresh fruit and vegetables. It was so much fun!!! Seriously. fun. The time flew by and I was kinda bummed it ended so early.

Food Share has many different types of volunteer opportunities so you can sign up for whatever sounds fulfilling. Together we make a difference because no one should go hungry.

We found some great logs today. One covered in mushrooms and the other filled with holes. So fascinating seeing the many different purposes trees have throughout their life. It’s a reminder for me to pause and reflect on where I am in my own life, my purpose, and how I am continuing to grow.

The last picture looks like it was a large nest that’s fallen out of a tree. Must have been a big bird!

So many fun moments shared in the Alabama Hills. We hiked trails around Movie Rd and learned about the areas history at the Western Film History Museum. We paused along the trail to soak in the energy of the area and take time for reflection. It was easy to feel grateful for the beautiful area, and it felt good to make being outside a priority.

What are you doing today to get outside, stay grounded and embrace gratitude? One little step outside can change your perspective and shape a brighter day.

This is the view of the sunrise from my bed! The sky changes colors every few minutes. On the other side of the house the full moon is setting behind the Sierra Nevada mountains.
