Massachusetts Residents,

ATTENTION Domestic Violence (DV) Survivors: I am conducting research as part of the requirements for a Doctor of Education degree at Liberty University. The purpose of my research is to better understand how belief in God impacted survivors of severe abuse in leaving and rebuilding their life post-violence. To participate, you must be 18 years or older, are a domestic violence survivor of severe abuse (Abuse occurred over 3 separate occasions and included physical abuse), is someone of faith who believes in God, have rebuilt your life post-abuse, and the abuse must have occurred over 18 months ago. Additionally, participants will be asked to complete a WEB questionnaire, Resilience Scale, and screening survey to determine eligibility. Participants, will be asked to complete a take home journal that will be emailed (estimated to take 20-30 minutes) depending on your depth. Optionally create or turn in a creative submission (estimated to take 20 minutes). Attend a 90-minute audio-recorded interview in person and 20- 30 minutes for data analysis review post-interview. To participate, please direct message me to receive the WEB questionnaire, Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale, and screening survey. If you are determined to be eligible for this study, a consent document will be emailed to you one week before the interview, and you will need to sign and return it at the time of the interview.

A true dichotomy of life: the secret to life is when to know when to leave ,when to leave a party ,went to leave the restaurant or bar, when to leave a family event or conversation, when to leave a job ,when to leave class ,when to leave a addiction or an addict, when to leave a relationship and when to leave the scene or stage of life your in, when to leave something or someone you love, when to leave a sin behind.
YET also the secret to life is also when to know when to stay, not give up, when to stay committed, stay in love , stay “enabling” , stay enduring, stay put, stay strong, stay sober, stay praying. When to stay and invest in someone or something you love .
It’s a complicated thing isn’t it, this thing called life! I’m pretty sure we all need help through it. Never be afraid to reach out! We were never meant to navigate life alone!

September is addiction awareness month don’t be so easy to judge such a complicated path to navigate, instead support one another because anyone can be an inch away from addiction damaging ones life. Let’s support those around us this month and always!
