Thurmont Community Ambulance Service extends their condolences to Frederick County DFRS and the family of Capt. Joshua Laird during this very difficult time. Capt. Laird’s passing is a result of injuries sustained during a house fire while protecting and serving our local Frederick County community.

Now that the warm weather is here to stay, please use caution when visiting the national and state parks within the area. This afternoon Thurmont Community Ambulance Service and several neighboring agencies assisted with a high angle rescue in the Catoctin Mountain Park. Pictured is ATV 30– utilized on the call to transport personnel and equipment to the top of the mountain. Enjoy the beautiful weekend ahead, and stay safe! 🚑

This weekend Thurmont Community Ambulance teamed up with Philmont Crew 270 to complete 16 hour of Wilderness First Aid training. These crew members participated in this course in preparation for their high adventure trip to New Mexico in July 2021.

The Boy Scouts of America requires a minimum of 2 people be certified in Wilderness First Aid in order to attend the trip— Philmont Crew 270 decided to exceed this expectation and had all people attending the trip obtain this certification.

This group was successful with a 100% course pass rate! Way to go!

We do not individually message persons their assigned numbers, you must look for your assigned number on the board. Boards are not updated instantaneously, but will be updated twice daily.

Once all chances have been sold, we will go live on Facebook and scratch the winning number located on the sure tip board! The winner will then be notified and arrangements will be made to claim your winnings. Winner must claim prize at Thurmont Event Complex- 13716 Strafford Drive Thurmont Maryland 21788. The winner must be present at claiming of their prize and must present valid photo identification.

Prizes not claimed within 30 days become property of Thurmont Community Ambulance Service.

Received a few photos today from FESCO of the current progress made on Company 30's new utility vehicle. This utility vehicle will be used to haul Thurmont Community Ambulance's current ATV 30. This new utility is on track to be arriving in Thurmont at the end of February.
