If you had the freedom and the means to start building your dream life tomorrow, what are 5 things you would do immediately? I would…

1. Move out if the United States to an LGBTQIA friendly country
2. Buy an oceanfront home so I could visit the ocean any time I need to heal and recharge
3. Buy 10 acres of land in the country and build a cat sanctuary, a modest home with a pool for just my husband, myself and our kitties and a cat cafen ti fund the whole thing and find homes for the adoptablee kitties
4. Quit my corporate job and work do Animal Reiki as a side gig
5. Write a book about my journey so others who are suffering know they are not alone

Maladaptive daydreaming or life goals? I choose to believe that they can be one and the same.

This is why I do what I do. As an Animal Reiki Practitioner, I’m honored to channel Reiki energy to these amazing creatures who heal us humans, just by being present. Their energy is a priceless resource for love on this planet and boy, do we need more of that. Reiki helps to replenish their energy and offers them healing and love, which they give so selflessly to us.

The consistent highlight of my week is my volunteer shift Cuddles Cat Rescue in Thurmont, MD. It is a break from the craziness, a form of self care and some free therapy lol.
Caring for animals who would otherwise be out on the streets with no food or shelter or maybe even worse, at a shelter waiting to be euthanized is an honor.
These animals bring me such peace and joy - witnessing them playing. The unconditional love and gratitude these rescued kitties give us is a true gift.

Cuddles Cat Rescue is looking for volunteers. We need immediate help on our Monday and Thursday morning shifts but always need help on any of our morning and evening shifts, 7 days a week. This Saturday! Fun event for a great cause! Join me at the “K9’s in the Vines” event this Saturday, 6/24 from 1:00 - 4:00pm, hosted by Frederick County Animal Welfare League.

This dog friendly event includes beautiful scenery and amazing vendors. Grab your furbaby and stop by my tent. I’ll be offering Animal Reiki sessions at a special event price of $20. See you there!
