Woke up sore today? 😣
Do you schedule with the chiropractor or the massage therapist?
Here’s what to know 👇

Chiropractic care focuses on alignment. If your joints feel “stuck,” you’re having sharp pain with movement, or you know you’re out of alignment, an adjustment can help get everything moving the way it should.

Massage therapy focuses on muscle tension. If you’re feeling tight, achy, stressed, or woke up with those “I slept wrong” knots, a massage helps release the muscles that are pulling your body out of balance.

And honestly?
Most people benefit from both at different times.
Massage helps relax the muscles so adjustments hold longer, and chiropractic care helps realign what tight muscles have been tugging on.

Not sure which one you need today?
Start with what feels most uncomfortable—muscle tension or joint pain—and go from there. Your body will tell you what it needs. 💆‍♀️💆‍♂️

If you’re leaning toward massage, I’ve got openings this week. Message me to get on the schedule! ✨

💆‍♀️ Let’s Talk About the Décolletage (and Why Massage Therapists Use a Different Term)

You’ve probably heard your hairstylist or esthetician say “décolletage” when they’re talking about applying product to your neck and upper chest area. In massage therapy, we usually don’t use that term — we talk about the pectoral muscles, sternocleidomastoid (SCM), and platysma instead.

So why the difference?
👉 Décolletage is more of a beauty-industry word — it refers to the visible part of the upper chest and neck.
👉 In massage, we use anatomical terms because we’re working with muscles and structures beneath the surface.

I often get questions about why I don’t massage the front of the neck — and that’s for safety! This area has major arteries and delicate structures that aren’t meant for deep pressure.

However, gentle work right below the collarbone can help release tension in the muscles of the upper back (since front and back muscles balance each other).

And if I focus a little more on the SCM (the long muscle on the side of your neck), that’s because it can contribute to jaw tension, headaches, and neck pain when it’s tight.

It’s all connected — and understanding the anatomy helps me give you the safest, most effective session possible 💪💆‍♀️

🌿 Your health is worth caring about. 🌿

We often think of “health” as just eating right or exercising, but true wellness is about so much more — including how you care for your body’s stress, tension, and recovery.

Massage isn’t just a luxury or a treat. It’s a form of preventative care that supports your nervous system, circulation, and mental health. Regular massage helps reduce stress hormones, improves sleep, eases muscle pain, and keeps your body functioning the way it’s meant to.

You only get one body — take care of it. 💚
Massage is self-care, but it’s also health care.
