While hearing aids make conversations more audible, there are simple things that communication partners can do to foster the best possible listening environment. Share this post to help them understand. 🫂

-Face each other and position yourselves so that there is as little sound as possible coming from behind the person with hearing loss.

-Try to speak in a well-lit area so that facial expressions and body language can be easily seen.

-Slow your speech and enunciate more. Louder does not always mean clearer.

-Utilize Edge Mode+ and accessories to help give hearing aids an extra boost in challenging listening environments.

• Ohioans with hearing loss and audiologists who care for them thank for his support of S2377 the Medicare Audiology Access Improvement Act. You are increasing access to better hearing and balance care!

The Medicare Audiology Access Improvement Act is in the Senate for consideration by the legislature - S2377. It amends the Medicare Statute for the 1950s to make it commensurate with current Health Care. It recognizes Audiology for all of the services within its scope of practice. It streamlines delivery of services which makes it easier and more efficient for people to get hearing and balance services more cost effectively.

At Professional Hearing Care and as a Doctor of Audiology We appreciate all who support this legislative initiative to bring our service delivery system up to date so the provision of services that directly impact Quality of Life are available and easily accessed.
