Wade E Young MD, Ophthalmologist, is a native of Green Springs, OH. He is a graduate of Clyde High School, Heidelberg University and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed his Ophthalmology Residency at Summa Health System in Akron, OH. He has been practicing Ophthalmology in the area since 1987. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and licensed by the Ohio State Medical Board. He is a medical staff member at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin and Willard and ProMedica Memorial Hospital, Fremont. Dr. Young was chief-of-staff at Fremont Memorial Hospital in 1995 and 1996 and Mercy Hospital of Tiffin in 2011. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of Toledo College of Medicine, teaching medical students. Dr. Young has vast experience in cataract and refractive surgery. He has performed vision correction surgery since 1994 with over 10,000 surgeries and has supervised the training of other doctors in vision correction surgery. Dr. Young uses the latest technology to perform small incision cataract surgery with the newest lens implants. Dr. Young lives in Fremont with his wife, Cindy. They have four grown children. He is a member of Green Springs United Methodist Church, serving as organist and lay leader for many years. Besides spending time with his family, he enjoys hunting, golfing, and is involved in many organizations.
Dr. Meade - Thomas Meade graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1988 and was voted "most likely to succeed" by his graduating class. He attended Youngstown State University and received his B.S. in 1991. He stayed at YSU and entered graduate school to work on a Master's degree. He then accepted an adjunct faculty position in the biology department at Thiel College in Greenville, PA. He decided teaching was not his calling and entered Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1994. He graduated in 1998 and was inducted into the International Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Meade did an externship at the Ohio Eye Alliance Surgical Center in Alliance, OH. He began practicing at the Tiffin Eye Center in July 1998 in Tiffin, OH where he resides with his wife and three children.
