🧡💙 Excitement was in the air today at SCOC Aktion Club’s Officer Election Day! Candidates poured their hearts out with passionate speeches, showcasing their vision and leadership. With so many incredible contenders, this year's race was truly nail-biting—congratulations to all candidates—you should be incredibly proud! 👏✨
After the votes were cast, we were thrilled to welcome Zane Cox, Tiffin University’s Head Football Strength & Conditioning Coach, along with the Tiffin University football players, who shared exciting details about their upcoming event: Victory Day—Unified Football Skills and Cheer Day! The energy was contagious as everyone cheered on our special guests and looked forward to a day of teamwork and fun with the Dragons Football & Cheer Teams! 🏈🎉
What a fantastic day full of leadership, community, and excitement!

💚🐉We can't wait for this year's VICTORY DAY - a Unified Football Skills and Cheer Day with the Tiffin University Dragons Football & Cheer Teams! Tiffin University would like you to be a part of this fun-filled Dragon Football event! 🏈📣

💚🐉Participants of all age groups will have the chance to either play football or cheer on those playing with the TU team. The athletes will have a chance to run or catch a touchdown against a mock defense. Athletes will also be paired up with a Dragon Buddy, a Tiffin football player or cheerleader, who will serve as their mentor throughout the experience.

Victory Day will be on August 23rd at Frost-Kalnow Stadium in Tiffin, Ohio.

Join us for the August NW OSDA TU Training on Tuesday, August 26th, 2025 from 10:30am-1:30pm. Speakers Dick Brulotte Aktion Club Administrator and Keesha Hiser and Corinna Feasel from the Seneca Co. General Health District (assisted by Aktion Club officer and STIR Leader Sean Allison) will start the morning with "Hearts in Aktion: Service and Sun Safety." After lunch, which is $11 for TU's buffet, speaker Lea Perrine, Investigative Agent for Sandusky County, will finish off the afternoon with "Providing Resources for Positive Interactions between Individuals Served and Law Enforcement."

🎉🎉Congratulations to the Direct Support Professional (DSP) for the month of August, Monica Gundrum!🎉🎉

“Monica is an extremely reliable and dependable person. She has a lot of compassion not only for the people we serve, but for her coworkers. On days the Day Program is closed for weather or holidays, she offers to help out at one of our residential homes. She offers to take one of our individuals to visit his mom. Monica has also taken the time to learn ASL so she can better communicate with this individual. She has been a great asset to REM, and I am more than appreciative of her and having her by my side at the Day Program.”

🌟🌟Every month, ACT Council and SCOC Board Members plan to recognize a DSP. ACT Council selects the DSP to recognize, and SCOC Board honors them at their monthly meeting. ACT stands for Advocates Coming Together for the Seneca County Opportunity Center (SCOC) and is a group of parents, siblings, allies, and persons with developmental disabilities. ACT Council helps provide support for quality programming at SCOC.🌟🌟
