Look at our bunnies we made during speech and occupational therapy this morning 🐰 This activity worked on following directions, pronouns, labeling and describing, dressing skills, and fine motor coordination!

⭐️ Meet the Team ⭐️

Everyone meet Mrs. Taylor! Taylor is one of our occupational therapists here at TPTS. She graduated from the University of St. Augustine where she received her Master of Occupational Therapy degree. She is a Certified Autism Specialist and certified to perform physical agent modalities.

From the time of graduating, Taylor has always worked in the pediatric setting. She previously worked at our Valdosta clinic and now has transferred to TPTS. She has grown to love this specialty, especially working with infants and helping them achieve their milestones, along with helping older kids become more independent with their activities of daily living.

Taylor loves spending time with her family, especially her little boy. When she’s not working, she enjoys visiting the beach. She has enjoyed getting to meet new faces over the last few months and can’t wait to meet many more!

⭐️ Meet the Team ⭐️

Everyone meet one of our fabulous speech therapists, Mrs. Allison! Allison is a graduate of Valdosta State University where she received her Masters Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2018. Over the course of her career, she has worked in outpatient pediatrics and the school setting. She loves working in the outpatient setting because of the wide variety of diagnoses she gets to treat along with forming lasting and meaningful relationships with the families she serves.

She has received training as a Natural Language Acquisition therapist utilizing gestalt language processing. She is also trained in feeding approaches using integrated strategies to increase understanding and overall acceptance of feeding difficulties. Allison is certified in the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol to treat pediatric feeding and swallowing difficulties.

Allison has always had a passion for helping children communicate and is excited to give back to the community where she and her husband, Hunter, and their son, Gray live. She is so excited to be a part of the team at Tifton Pediatric Therapy Services and meet all the sweet kiddos!

We are excited to announce that 3 of our occupational therapists are now Certified Autism Specialists!

This course covered topics such as delays in development, emotional regulation, behaviors, and sensory integration. Completing this certification allows them to better understand neurodivergent populations and provide beneficial treatment to children that are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
