🩷 Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🩷

This October, we come together as one community—survivors, families, friends, and allies. Breast cancer touches lives in every neighborhood, and awareness is how we turn compassion into action.

Why it matters:
- 🩷 Early detection saves lives—regular screenings and self-checks make a difference.
- 🩷 Support strengthens healing—no one should walk this journey alone.
- 🩷 Awareness fuels hope—together, we can break the silence and spread knowledge.

Let’s fill this space with love and solidarity. Drop a 🩷 in the comments to honor survivors, remember loved ones, and show support for families everywhere.

Together, we shine brighter. Together, we are stronger.

🌤️ Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD): You’re Not Alone
Did you know?

About 5% of U.S. adults experience Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) each year, and symptoms usually last 4–5 months.

Another 10–20% experience a milder “winter blues” that still impacts mood, energy, and motivation.

SAD is more than just “holiday stress”—it’s a form of depression linked to seasonal changes, most often in fall and winter when daylight is shorter.

💡 3 Simple Ways to Support Your Wellness This Season
Seek the Light ☀️
Spend time outdoors during daylight hours, or use a light therapy lamp (10,000 lux recommended).

Move Your Body 🏃
Even a short daily walk can boost mood and energy by increasing serotonin and vitamin D.

Stay Connected 🤝
Isolation makes SAD worse. Staying plugged into supportive communities—like Oasis—can bring hope, encouragement, and tools for recovery.

✨ At Oasis, we believe connection is medicine. If shorter days are weighing on you, come join us for workshops, peer support, and community events. Together, we can turn this season into one of growth and resilience.
