✨ Oasis RCO Annual Gather & Grub ✨

Yesterday was a beautiful reminder of what makes Tifton the Friendly City. We gave out over 20 pieces of spiritual literature and shared a Thanksgiving meal with more than 200 people in our community—the people who are our community.

Every Friday before Thanksgiving, Oasis RCO comes together with gratitude to serve and celebrate. This year, we lived out our slogan in true service, and Golden Corral joined us in that spirit by generously donating Thanksgiving dinner for our peers.

And shameless plug here… Oasis Team, y’all absolutely killed it! 💪👏

We are deeply thankful for each and every one of you—our volunteers, our board members, and our neighbors who make this work possible. You are the heartbeat of Oasis.

As a team, we want to pause and thank each of you for sharing your journeys with us. We do not take that lightly. Your courage, honesty, and presence make our lives richer and our community stronger.

Today, we serve a meal as a simple way to say thank you. You fill our hearts and spirits every day—and tonight, we hope to return the favor by filling your belly!

Good news for our community:
SNAP benefits for Georgia families will be fully funded this month, thanks to a federal court ruling and USDA’s compliance. While we were scared during the shutdown, Oasis saw firsthand how uncertainty weighed on families. Yet, what stood out most was the strength of our community. Local partners, businesses, and organizations stepped up—adjusting prices, expanding food availability, and preparing to support those who might not receive their benefits.

Today, we celebrate not only the restoration of SNAP funding but also the resilience and compassion that carried us through. Thank you to everyone who stood in the gap, ensuring dignity and nourishment for our neighbors. Together, we continue to prove that recovery is not just about surviving—it’s about thriving, with hope and solidarity leading the way. 💙 💚
