🖤 As Black History Month comes to a close, one thing remains true… Black history is 365 days a year.
This year marks 100 years of celebrating Black history, honoring the legacy that began in 1926 with Negro History Week — a reminder that our contributions, innovation, resilience, and excellence have always shaped this nation.
Being one of the first Black women, alongside my co-owner, to open a wellness and IV hydration lounge in Tifton, Georgia, I don’t just celebrate Black history… I walk in it every single day.
Entrepreneurship in healthcare spaces has not always been accessible to us. Representation matters. Ownership matters. Access to wellness in our communities matters.
Black history is innovation.
Black history is resilience.
Black history is excellence.
Black history is building opportunities where none previously existed.
Essence of Thirst Wellness Lounge was created with purpose — to bring wellness, education, prevention, and care to our community while showing the next generation that Black women belong in business ownership, healthcare leadership, and spaces of influence.
We do not erase Black history because it tells the story of progress, sacrifice, strength, and achievement that continues today.
To every client, supporter, and community member who has supported this vision — thank you. Because of you, we are not just running a business… we are creating impact and legacy.
I am proud.
I am grateful.
And I’m committed to continuing to serve, uplift, and help change lives through wellness.
Let’s keep building. Let’s keep growing. Let’s keep making history together.
