SMO is proud to announce that Dr. Timothy Beals has been elected as a fellow member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA). Also known as FAANA, this election represents elite peer recognition in arthroscopy, scholarly contributions, and professional leadership roles.
Being recognized as a Fellow of the AANA is a designation for orthopedic surgeons who are active, associate, or international members of the Arthroscopy Association of North America. It is a monumental recognition only achieved through several eligibility criteria: a Fellow must have been a continuous member of the AANA for at least 5 years, must have qualified for unrestricted medical license and board certification, and they must have fulfilled 6 qualifications in the last 5 years across 2 specific categories. The first category is Leadership: this ranges across fields like committee service, hospital leadership, community engagement, and volunteerism. The second category is Education/Scholarly Activity: this ranges across fields such as teaching, publications, research, and CME involvement.
This designation is a highlight to Dr. Beals' distinction in arthroscopy and leadership within orthopedic surgery. It indicates his peer-recognized excellence in education, research, professional development, and clinical practice in the medical world.
Please join us in celebrating this incredible achievement of Dr. Timothy Beals!
