Before and after magic (swipe for more photos & info) 🌟 Question: Why do tattoos on hands or extremities sometimes take longer or more treatments? ⤵️
Answer:
The farther away from the heart, the less blood flow & circulation is available compared to tattoos that are closer to the heart such as the chest area, torso, upper arms, or back. Extremities such as hands or fingers and feet will typically see slightly more healing time and/or extra treatment time.
Other factors that influence the number of treatments & how the body responds to them (unique to each case) including but not limited to:
- Tattoo location, age, the manner in which it was done (professional vs. stick and poke, whether or not it was a cover up), the undertones of the ink used
- Skin phototype (how your skin reacts to the sun)
- Following the provided aftercare protocols
- Overall health & immune function of client
