Mill-e-Moto: Center for Traditional East Asian Medicine is a husband/wife partnership that opened in downtown Beaverton in January of 2013. Ryan Milley and Misako Yamamoto have practiced in the greater Portland area for the last 8 years. Combining diverse clinical and cultural experiences they are excited to open a clinic in their community! The center focuses on the use of acupuncture, herbs, qi gong (meditation), massage, movement therapy, and lifestyle recommendations. Misako & Ryan are graduates of the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM), which was recently named the number one acupuncture school in the country. Ryan also holds an associate research position at OCOM and serves on the board of the Society for Acupuncture Research (SAR). They are licensed by the Oregon Medical Board (acupuncture) and hold diplomates in Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Both Ryan & Misako have received foundational training in Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as additional advanced training in Japanese styles of acupuncture and movement therapy. They treat a wide variety of conditions ranging from pain, headaches, digestive complaints and gynecological issues. Ryan specializes in orthopedic and sports medicine while Misako works more intuitively with emotion and spirit based disorders. Both are certified qi gong instructors and Misako is currently enrolled in an intensive 2 year qi gong self cultivation and teacher training program. They are both avid athletes and in their free time they enjoy traveling around in their giant yellow sprinter van going on surf, rock climbing and ski/snowboarding adventures. The van also serves as their mobile acupuncture clinic and they are equipped to provide treatments any time they are on the road. Share this:
