Dear Patients,
If you want acupuncture to remain safe in Oregon and be practiced by actual, trained, acupuncturists, please write to your senators. A template is provided below. This bill (HB3824) allows PT’s to do “dry needling” without any training or oversight. We know that injuries like pneumothorax (punctured lung), nerve damage, and organ trauma can occur if needles are inserted at wrong angles, too deeply, or aggressively. For public safety, please write to your senators to vote NO on HB3824.
