When families first explore support options, the terms home care and home health are often used interchangeably, but they are not the same.

Home care provides non-medical assistance with everyday tasks such as bathing, meals, companionship, and mobility, helping seniors live comfortably and independently. Home health, by contrast, is clinical in nature, led by nurses or therapists, and often prescribed after a hospitalization or injury.

Both are valuable, but understanding the difference is the first step toward finding the right support.
