Our Story

Licensed Massage Therapist - Janine Zeller

I was raised in the Portland area, and recently moved back from Grand Rapids, Michigan. My BFA is in theatre, but I discovered after graduation I was missing something. In search of a career offering more of a mind/body connection, I enrolled at the Seattle Massage School in 1994 and became a licensed massage therapist. When I moved to Michigan and opened my own massage studio, Moksha Massage (pronounced Moke – shuh: meaning Release from Suffering.)

My initial training is in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue and Sports Massage, however I have also studied Cranial Sacral, Reflexology, Trager, Trigger Point Therapy, Lomi Lomi, Pregnancy Massage and Ayurvedic Massage.

I enjoy being a Massage Therapist because the joy and fulfillment I receive by helping others feel better, healthier and live in wholeness is truly rewarding. When I give a massage, I use all my experience to craft a personalized massage that caters to your individual needs. During your massage, I warm your muscles slowly and together we loosen areas of tightness, stretching when needed, breathing into the massage, and creating space for healing in the joints and tissues. I believe every client is an active participant in their massage. My role is to help you become aware of problem areas - where you may be holding stress and helping you to release it.
