Washington Gardens Memory Care Residence

Washington Gardens Memory Care Residence Welcome to Washington Gardens Memory Care & Assisted Living community located in Tigard, Oregon.

An active lifestyle, such as one filled with walking outdoors or making meals with others, is beneficial for those with memory loss because it helps with sensory stimulation and procedural memory skills. Our SPARK program is inspired by the Montessori methods and helps support residents with skills based and social focused activities. Here at Washington Gardens, we strive to provide the best assisted living and memory care to our residents, and give them the most comfortable and enjoyable lifestyle we can.

Memory Matters: Residents Celebrating Alzheimer's Awareness 💜

At Washington Gardens Memory Care in Tigard, residents dressed in purple and designed hats for an early observance of Alzheimer’s Awareness Day. The highlight of the afternoon was Debra’s creation, a hat proudly displaying the words “Memory Matters.” Her thoughtful design reminded us all of the importance of our memories and the value of supporting Alzheimer’s awareness and research.

This activity was part of our SPARK program, which tailors activities to residents’ interests and abilities. By giving residents meaningful roles, SPARK instills a sense of purpose and pride. For Debra, helping lead the way with her design made the day even more special, and her message inspired everyone around her.

Dorothy’s face beamed with pure delight as she admired the colorful paper flower bouquet she created during a recent activity at Washington Gardens. Residents spent the afternoon drawing flowers, carefully cutting them out, and attaching them to wooden dowels, transforming simple materials into bright, cheerful bouquets. Holding her finished bouquet, Dorothy radiated pride and happiness from accomplishing something with her own hands.

🎶 Live Music at Washington Gardens! 🎶

This week at Washington Gardens Memory Care, we welcomed talented musician Van Beek for a lively afternoon performance. Residents tapped their feet and sang along to classics like “Surfin’ USA” and “Jambalaya.”
