Our programming is centered around skill building in emotional regulation, resiliency, conflict resolution, and communication with a framework of intentional healing relationships as a strategy for long-term recovery. Madrona Recovery prides itself on its commitment to trauma-informed care. Our staff are highly trained in nonviolent crisis intervention, trauma and resiliency informed practices and cultural competencies.

POSITION SUMMARY

The ideal candidate for this position will be passionate about adolescents and mental health, trauma, and recovery. Must be highly skilled and self-motivated to develop curriculum and facilitate learning in communication, conflict resolution, emotional regulation, trauma, DBT, mindfulness, thinking and other relevant skills acquisition. The best fit for this position will be at ease working collaboratively with a treatment team and must be able to prioritize and organize a diverse set of responsibilities with ease. Candidate should be self-aware and able to maintain appropriate therapeutic boundaries with youth in residential care.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in the mental health field required.
Master’s degree in the mental health field preferred.
CADC OR required.
Two years’ mental health or addiction recovery work experience with adolescents in a residential or other treatment setting preferred.
If recovering from a substance abuse related disorder must be able to document continuous abstinence under independent living conditions or recovery housing for the immediate past two years.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Wellness Counselors work on the front line with youth dealing with mental health, trauma, and addiction in a residential facility.
Using your passion and ability you will be building a therapeutic rapport and modeling prosocial engagements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

At least one year supporting adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and substance abuse issues.
Residential treatment or hospital setting is a plus!
Personality types that are empathetic, caring, reliable, and trustworthy best fit this role.

Criminal background check (conviction of violent crime or crime involving youth is an immediate disqualifier)

For many parents, the key to intervening successfully in a child’s substance abuse is more about listening than talking. Kids who do not respond to private discussions with family members may require a professional intervention to get into treatment.

Candidate should have knowledge of direct communication, de-escalation, adolescent development and trauma-informed practice. Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience in a behavioral health related field is preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Night Shift Supervisor

Department: Unit

Reports To: Executive Director

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Night Shift Supervisor (NSS) is responsible to oversee and supervise Night Shift Counselors and Coordinators during the night shift. The NSS is responsible to oversee the screening and hiring of night staff. Conduct employee reviews and supervisions in a regular and timely manner, address staff performance and professional development. Oversee proper chart maintenance and quality documentation and organizing processes. Conduct regular and accurate auditing of supplies. Oversee “resetting” the unit in preparation for the next 24 hours, including conducting nightly security checks, documenting safety concerns, overseeing basic cleanliness in group rooms, courtyard and workstations. Note any contraband or facility equipment out of place and returning items to where they belong. Maintain infection control logs for laundry room and staff lounge fridge. The NSS oversees scheduling to maintain appropriate staff coverage. Ensure implementation of protocols and procedures in alignment with federal, state and joint commission standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

At least two years’ experience in a hospital, inpatient, or residential treatment setting and one-year supervisory experience.
Knowledge and skill in the effective residential treatment of adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and substance abuse problems.
Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health related field preferred.
Experience and ability to maintain safety and supervise youth who are experiencing substance use withdrawal or mental health issues within a secure setting.
Experience administering medications preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Nurse Practitioner is an independent contractor, and nothing in this job description implies that the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is an employee of Madrona Recovery.

The Nurse Practitioner provides the necessary administrative and clinical services to support safe, quality client care.

QUALIFICATIONS

The nurse practitioner must hold a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Oregon, a current, unrestricted DEA registration member, professional liability insurance in the required amounts, and be in good standing as a fully credentialed member of the organization’s professional staff. No history of conduct indicating it may be unsafe to allow the individual to provide care to children. If recovering from a substance abuse related disorder, must be able to demonstrate continuous sobriety under nonresidential, independent living conditions for the immediate past two years.

Responsibilities and Duties

Always provides all services in accord with ethical, professional standards and applicable regulatory requirements/standards.
Provides History and Physical examinations and reports
Provides subsequent client visits, as clinically appropriate, for the continued evaluation and management of a client. This includes establishing and/or reviewing the client’s medical chart, examining the client, writing orders and notes, and communicating with other professionals and the client’s family.
Providing telephonic consultations. When providing this “on-call” service, the practitioner must be physically and mentally capable of providing consultation. As such, on-call practitioners must refrain from drinking alcohol or taking any medication that would inhibit the practitioner’s ability to consult/treat patients.
When requested by administrative or clinical leadership, including (but not limited to)
Participating in the facility quality management program in accord with the requirements of the Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies, e.g., peer review; committee participation; infection surveillance, prevention, and control
Providing continuing education that is relevant to client care provided in the facility, e.g., based on assessed need such as identified staff knowledge deficits or negative findings during safety- or quality-related activities
Qualifications and Skills

License in good standing. Experience with adolescents in mental health and chemical dependency in a residential setting a plus.
