We pray for the safety of our troops and all service members stationed across the Middle East during this difficult and rapidly evolving moment, as the United States and its allies have engaged in significant military operations involving Iran.

Lord, shield every soul in harm’s way — not only the brave men and women who serve, but also the innocent civilians caught in the shadow of conflict. Be near to the families who wait anxiously for news. Wrap every base, every outpost, every home with Your divine protection and unshakable peace.

May those who stand watch be strengthened not only by training and strategy, but by courage rooted in hope and a calm that surpasses human understanding.

We also lift up the innocent lives affected by this crisis — the men, women, and children in Iran, Israel, and throughout neighboring lands where fear has grown and tensions have escalated. Let Your mercy fall gently upon communities shaken by violence. Bring comfort where there is grief, stability where there is chaos, and light where darkness feels overwhelming.

Father, we pray for a swift and just resolution — not born of destruction, but of wisdom. Guide leaders toward dialogue over hostility, restraint over retaliation, compassion over division, and peace over pride. Soften hardened hearts and open doors that weapons never could.

And in the midst of uncertainty, let hope rise. Let it rise in governments, in soldiers, in families, and in the quiet prayers of everyday people. May lasting peace take root — not only between nations, but within the human heart.

In Your mercy and grace, we trust.

Amen.

The older I get, the more I understand that happiness isn’t loud — it’s steady.

It’s not found in big milestones alone, but in the quiet rhythm of ordinary days.
It’s waking up with breath in my lungs.
It’s sunlight spilling across a simple kitchen table. It’s noticing the way a flower opens, or how a child’s laughter lingers longer than any worry I carried the night before.
Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be good.

I’ve learned that complaining steals the joy from moments that were meant to be savored. When I slow down and take life day by day, something shifts inside me. Gratitude begins to grow where frustration once lived. I start to see blessings I used to overlook — steady work, faithful friends, memories that still warm my heart.

Being thankful for the little things doesn’t mean I ignore life’s hardships. It means I refuse to let them define my entire story. Gratitude softens the edges of difficult seasons and reminds me that even now, there is beauty to behold.

So today, I choose to notice.
I choose to appreciate.
I choose to be thankful — not just for the big miracles, but for the small, faithful gifts that quietly fill my days.
