Tarot For the Nation 7/23/2025
Decks used:
Tarot of Dragons by Shawn MacKenzie
The Healing Mantra by Matt Kahn
The Oracle of E by Pam Grout & Colette Baron-Reid

The Moon (reversed)
The card in this position represents what we have been experiencing.
The Moon is the 18th card in the Major Arcana. 18 adds to 9 in numerology and is considered one of the sacred numbers. She represents secrets, illusions, and hidden knowledge, as well as mystery and the subconscious.
In the reversed position it indicates secrets being revealed and truths discovered. It deals with facing fears and uncomfortable truths with a warning that ignorance has dire consequences. This is not generally a catastrophic card like The Tower. It's a slow, unveiling of illusions.

Page of Swords
Pages are generally considered to represent children or a young project/romance/etc. Swords are the suit of the mind and intellect, cutting to the heart of the matter, among other things. In this reading I think, given the current timeline of events, it's pretty clear that it concerns the children. The truth and true scope of this has been and is being slowly revealed. The restless energy of youth and the need for action has fueled this yearning for truth. A quiet determination was born and cannot now be stopped.

Two of Swords
Twos represent balance. This card will be better understood when the 4th card enters the dialogue. Here we see the golden dragon waiting on the shore. In the distance two swords, one to each side of an eclipsing moon. She knows that all things come in their allotted and perfect time. Balance gives her patience while she awaits the time to act.

Three of Cups (reversed)
Cups are the suit of emotions. Here 3 Dragons form a triskele and dance in the sky. Below 3 playful otters hold 3 cups. Upright this card represents community and celebration. Reversed it indicates a breakdown in communication and the potential for friend against friend, fears running rampant and emotions overruling logic, patience and judgment. With the influence of the Two of Swords, however, this can be mitigated by remembering to stay grounded and in balance.

5th and final tarot card:
Justice
This is card 11 in the Major Arcana. Eleven is a master number in numerology. It is seldom reduced to the single digit, but here I find it telling that it reduces to a two. This is a card of truth, balance and cutting through the bs to the Truth. While it can often represent legal matters in a general reading, this is in the outcome position and takes on a deeper meaning. Below I will summarize after the Oracle cards.

Rewiring the Nervous System
"I find strength in surviving my traumas"
Honoring times of hardship, embracing the emotional and physical pain gives us the ability to rewire from reacting to acting. This Mantra can help with adjusting after a time of turmoil and loss, allowing us to find the optimism of hope and the strength of determination.

Magic Carpet
I've always loved that this card is number 42 in the deck. If you haven't read Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, please do so. Or at least watch the movie, lol. The answer is 42. What does that mean? In computer coding it means whatever you want it to mean. (short version for non nerds) Get ready, because it's an invitation to wherever you want to go.

Summary
Secrets being revealed, the children will be freed, but cool heads must prevail to avoid the destruction that can happen with a vigilante mindset. Listen to the cooler heads as there are things going on behind the scenes that will bring justice and a final closing of this travesty.
Heal, Dear One's, you will be the ones to help these children and those who will have too much shame in their hearts for their actions or inaction. Love them all and let go of judgment. Justice will be done, though it may yet take some time for some to face their choices.
Take that Magic Carpet ride into the future and help guide it's course into peace, kindness and empathy.

I also find it telling that this reading began with an 18/9 and ended with an 11/2, then the 42/6 which is the number of relationships, partnerships, community, etc. This one just poured out with an unmistakable clarity. There are still some hard times coming, but the truth will out and justice will prevail. Some will escape justice by transitioning, others will escape for a while, but will eventually face their transgressions. Others will have very public trials and it is important to remind everyone to be neutral throughout this process while maintaining personal boundaries and balance. Be well, my beautiful Threadian family. Love and Light to you all. 🫶💖

In The Lost World of the Kalahari, explorer Laurens van der Post shares a haunting moment from his time with the Kalahari Bushmen.
One night, they asked him a simple question: "Why can't you hear the stars?"
He laughed, thinking it was a joke. But they weren’t joking.
When they realized he truly couldn’t hear the stars sing, their joy turned to sorrow. To them, the sounds of the night sky were real—an intimate part of nature’s voice. Not hearing it meant something far worse than deafness. It meant disconnection.
To the Bushmen, the greatest tragedy wasn’t losing your hearing...
It was losing your relationship with the universe.

The Frog Who Refused to Laugh at the Crippled Crane

In the quiet marshes of Ikenne, where the lilies floated like dreams and frogs sang their songs under a silver moon, there lived a frog named Chima. He was not the biggest among his kind, nor the loudest. But his voice carried far. And when he spoke, even the ripples in the pond seemed to listen.

Chima wasn’t proud. He didn’t leap higher than needed. He didn’t show off his voice during the mating songs. But what set him apart, more than anything, was the way he treated others.

The marsh was full of life water beetles, dragonflies, swans, and cranes who wandered in from the rivers beyond. Among them was a crane named Eze.

Eze didn’t move like the others.

His wing was bent.

No one knew why. Some said he was born that way. Others whispered about an accident with a crocodile or a storm that tossed him against a rock. Whatever the truth, Eze walked with a limp and flew in short, awkward bursts that never took him very far.

The other animals noticed. And slowly, their stares became whispers. Whispers turned into laughter.

“Here comes Eze, flying like a leaf in the wind!”

“Maybe if he jumps hard enough, the ground will carry him!”

“Careful—don’t trip on your own leg!”

The teasing grew worse.

Sometimes Eze hid.

Sometimes he stood tall and ignored them.

But mostly, he walked alone.

One evening, as the frogs gathered for their nightly chorus, Chima noticed Eze watching from a distance. His eyes glowed faintly under the moonlight, but his beak was still.

“He’s always watching,” one frog croaked.

“Maybe he wants to sing but forgot how,” said another.

The frogs burst into laughter.

All except Chima.

He looked across the water and saw Eze lowering his head.

Chima stood.

“I won’t sing tonight,” he said.

The others turned. “Why not?”

“Because tonight, I’d rather listen.”

“To what?” a frog asked. “The sound of bad wings flapping?”

Chima didn’t answer. He just hopped away.

That night, he sat on a lily pad near the reeds, waiting.

Eze came closer, slowly.

“You didn’t join them,” Eze said softly.

“I saw your face,” Chima replied. “It said more than their laughter ever could.”

Eze smiled, a tired smile.

“Do you ever wish you were different?” Chima asked.

“All the time,” Eze said.

Chima nodded. “But you still walk.”

Eze looked up. “Because the world hasn’t stopped.”

Chima offered a leaf. “Will you sit with me?”

That night, the frog and the crane sat in silence, while the stars blinked above and the crickets told stories no one else heard.

In the days that followed, others noticed. Chima didn’t laugh when others did. He didn’t join in when they mimicked Eze’s limp. And slowly, other frogs grew quiet too.

One day, a storm swept through the marsh. The winds tore down branches, and heavy rain flooded the shallow banks.

Animals panicked.

Frogs leapt wildly. Birds flew crookedly. The pond rose fast.

Chima was caught in the current, his legs tangled in reeds. He croaked for help, but the wind stole his voice.

And then, through the storm, came Eze.

He didn’t fly.

He walked.

Step by awkward step. Into the water. Against the current.

He reached Chima, grabbed the reeds with his beak, and pulled.

It took time.

But they made it to dry ground.

The frogs watched in silence.

When the storm passed, they gathered around.

Chima turned to them.

“Will you laugh now?” he asked.

No one answered.

Eze stood beside him.

From that day on, no one laughed at the crane again.

Because now, they knew.

Sometimes, the ones we mock are the ones who save us.

Moral Lessons:
1. Mocking someone’s pain says more about you than them.
2. Compassion doesn’t shout it sits quietly beside the hurting.
3. Those who walk with dignity, even when broken, carry more strength than those who laugh from the sidelines.

So, he flat out lied, (no surprise there). And he not only has no remorse, he says he'll do it again. As many times as it takes to keep the lies spreading, the fear spreading. The separation. The othering.
