It's time for the featured product of the week!

This weeks featured product:
Soak the Pain Away Bath Salt

It is locally crafted to reduce inflammation, fight pain, and improve circulation. It has both dandelion and purple dead nettle infused coconut oil. I foraged both myself locally and processed it into the oil. The added high-quality essential oils each serve a purpose to aid in giving you relief. I personally love this mix and will take a bath with it at night to ease my pain and get better rest. It smells great and the oils leave your skin feeling moisturized while continuing to serve their purpose.

Available in 2 oz and 4 oz. Normal price is $6 and $10 respectively.

It's time for the local love of the week!

This week's local love:
Broadway, VA, Community Market

I remember way back when the space was first created. Since its beginning in 2012, it has been a spot for locals to start their Saturdays off in the best way. There's something magical about seeing all the love and work that our community has put into their craft.

It's located at 161 S Main St in Broadway, VA at the end of downtown Broadway. The market season kicks off May 2nd and runs through October 18th, as well as special events.

There are picnic benches, a dog waste station, a free little library, and even an eyeglass recycling dropoff! It's within walking distance of many other great shops downtown as well!

While sharing my love for this place, I'm super excited to announce that I will be a vendor at the Broadway Community Market! I plan to be there for the kickoff on May 2nd, so mark your calendars and come shop in person! I will have testers for all my body care products so you can try before you buy. If you can't make it on the 2nd, I will also be there on May 23rd. Happy Monday, everyone! It's time for the featured item of the week!

Reusable Soap Bags

These reusable bags are made to fit a soap bar inside with a snap closure to ensure it doesn't fall out. One side has a more scrubby washcloth material, while the other is a soft, decorative, 100% cotton fabric. You can use them on your body, dishes, while cleaning, etc. I personally love to use them for my bar of body soap. It leaves my skin feeling soft and gently exfoliated. There are a bunch of patterns to choose from, with more added regularly.

The community that we are a part of here at Hazel Mountain Creations is one that is full of beauty, uniqueness, and hidden gems. There is a ton to love and appreciate here. With that being said, I'd like to introduce our new weekly segment: Local Love. Each week, I'll post something that I feel is a gem in our community. If there's something local you love, please leave a comment and it may be featured!

Local Love of the Week:

Hazel Mountain Overlook

It only seems appropriate that our first local love of the week is the place that inspired our name. Hazel Mountain Overlook is located at Mile Marker 33.0 on Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. It has an elevation of 2,770 feet. The drive up to the overlook is gorgeous itself, with many other stopping points and views. This one I particularly love because of how high up it is. You can see all of the mountains, but they almost seem below you. If you go on a foggy day, the fog looks like a river flowing through the mountains. It's a great place to go if you love hiking and nature views, but can't do much physically. Parking is right at the overlook and I even got lucky and had the place to myself!

You do have to pass through a ranger station to enter Skyline Drive and get a pass. I did find out that if you are permanently disabled, you get free national park access for life! The process was super easy. I just had to fill out a paper at the ranger station.

With all the new products I've been making, it's time to talk about them! I'll be posting a featured item for each week, talk about it, and offer 20% off for that product for the week.

The first featured item of the week is the Pain Away Salve.

Made with local dandelions and purple dead nettle that I hand foraged, dehydrated, and infused into coconut oil. Jojoba and apricot kernel oil are added for quick absorption so it is non-greasy. A special blend of essential oils are added with purpose in mind.
