NorCo Therapeutic Massage

NorCo Therapeutic Massage I am a Colorado State Licensed Integrative Massage Therapist with over 16+ years of experience. Hello, my name is Rebecca Story.

I am a Colorado State Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) insured by ABMP. I studied at the Everest College in Ontario, California for my Massage Therapy training and graduated May 09. I have been a working CMT since June 09. My first job out of school was for a chiropractic office. While I was there I started to build my clientele by working with many clients with medical issues such as sciatica, frozen shoulder and other pinched nerves in the body. I also did the physical therapy in the back with all the clients such as myostem therapy (tens unit), ultrasound therapy and heat/ice therapy. I have worked for other facilities such as Massage Envy, Burke Williams, Total Woman Gym & Spa and Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa. I now provide mobile massage to the Northern Colorado areas. The massage modalities/areas I specialize in are: Customized Massage, Deep Tissue, Stretching, Neck/Shoulders (Military Spine, Migraines) and Lower Back/Glutes (Sciatica Pain) and Fibromyalgia (chronic pain). My journey to become a CMT started back when I was 14. My mother has a degenerative bone condition and because she is in so much pain I would massage her to give her some relief. What was once just a hobby had grown into a passion. I have learned throughout the years that I am a therapeutic healer. I was born with this gift and it would be a waste for me to not use it. When I was 20 years old I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. (If you don't know what this is here's a brief description: it's a chronic widespread pain that is caused by the misfiring of the nerves in your body.) Even though dealing with this condition I still make it through day by day and know that there is always someone out there that has it worse off then I do. Since I live with this condition everyday instead of looking at it in a negative manner I use the knowledge i have gained throughout the years by connecting on a deeper level with my clients and educating them. I am able to tell them "Hey, I truly know how you feel because I live with it and feel it every day." I feel this is what makes me stand out opposed to other therapists and makes me one of a kind. I feel that God will never give you more than you can handle and because of that that's why I can do my job and do it well even under tough circumstances.
