As prayer is one of our fundamental values, we bow our heads and hearts before You in gratitude and remembrance. We pray that we never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country, giving their lives to protect the freedoms we hold dear.

Help us to carry grateful hearts and humble spirits as we honor those who continue to answer the call to serve, protecting our nation and defending the vulnerable both at home and abroad.

Be with all who remember daily, and especially on Memorial Day, beloved family members, friends, neighbors, classmates, co-workers, and all others lost in service to their country and to others. Surround the grieving with Your peace, comfort them with hope, and sustain them with understanding and strength.

May we live in ways that honor the courage, sacrifice, and legacy of those we remember today.

As we reflect on National Nursing Home Week, we wanted to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this year’s STELLA-BRATIONS such a wonderful success!

This year’s national theme, “Moments in Bloom,” truly came to life throughout the week. Our Pastoral Care team beautifully set the tone with a meaningful prayer service for staff and residents, while our Human Resources and Dining teams brightened early mornings by serving a variety of hot beverages to staff members at the crack of dawn.

From cook-outs and resident-family picnics to our employee fair and so many shared moments of joy, the week was filled with gratitude, fellowship, and celebration. Thank you to all who helped create such memorable “moments in bloom” as aging services advocates, compassionate caregivers, and mission champions for Stella Maris.

Stella Maris Inc is immensely proud of the success of this year’s MGA- Maryland Gerontological Association annual conference, Enthusiasm for Empowerment.

The day began with an inspiring keynote experience featuring Stories Love Music, Loretta Veney, and LEGO® Serious Play®, setting the tone with meaningful insights, authentic conversation, and powerful moments of connection and motivation.

Throughout the conference, attendees engaged in a dynamic lineup of sessions created to inform, inspire, and empower professionals across the aging services community. The energy throughout the day was extraordinary, with heartfelt sharing, thoughtful collaboration, and meaningful new connections formed along the way.

It was truly inspiring for Stella Maris Inc representatives Tracy Barnett (who also serves as VP of Business Development for Maryland Gerontological Association), Desiree Gibson, and Lindsay Robey, MS, CDP to engage with so many dedicated professionals, advocates, and leaders united by a shared commitment to improving the lives of older adults and caregivers.

Stella Maris extends sincere thanks to everyone who participated, presented, sponsored, and supported this unforgettable experience.

A special thank you, as always, to Maryland Secretary of Aging Carmel Roques for joining us and contributing to such a meaningful day.

It’s National Nursing Home Week so that means it’s not ‘celebration’ time but it’s STELLA-BRATION time!
