I was hospitalized in January. Today was my follow-up appointment 2 months later!

My appointment was scheduled for 9:30am. I wasn’t seen until 10:40am. The visit that I waited an hour and 10 minutes for only lasted 7 minutes.

No real interventions. A rushed assessment. And I left with more questions than answers.

This is exactly why I do what I do. A follow-up should reflect urgency. Being scheduled for a follow up 2 months later doesn’t make any sense. At Elevated, you’re not a 10-minute time slot. You’re a person with a story, a history, and a care plan that actually makes sense for you.

I am not bashing traditional medicine. I still follow evidenced-based guidelines in my practice; however, I experienced mediocre care today and it has motivated me to keep fighting to make individualized care the standard, not the exception.
