Congratulations to BAYADA Division Director Dean Drizin on his promotion to Commander (CDR) in the U.S. Navy Reserve!

In 2024, Dean was honored as Flight Surgeon of the Year across the entire Naval Reserve for his outstanding service with Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 60 (HSM-60) at NAS Jacksonville.

We were honored to celebrate the very best in home care advocacy at the Hearts for Home Care Ambassador of the Year Awards! This special evening recognized eight incredible ambassadors for their tireless efforts this past year to advance home care priorities at both the state and federal levels. 🌟

The night was made even more meaningful as David Totaro, BAYADA’s Chief Government Affairs Officer and President of Hearts for Home Care Advocacy, received a Lifetime Achievement Award honoring nearly 20 years of visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to home care advocacy.

It was a celebration filled with gratitude, inspiration, and a renewed commitment to ensuring every individual who relies on home care—and the frontline professionals who serve them—has the voice and support they deserve.

Our Hawaii behavioral health team came together to attend the Hawai'i Association for Behavior Analysis (HABA) 2025 Convention. They enjoyed connecting with the community, learning, collaborating with fellow attendees, and celebrating the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA).

BAYADA client Aspen finally made her way home after 322 days in the NICU. She is now reunited with her big sister and twin, who are both equally excited to have her home. Through every challenge, Aspen showed incredible strength and is ready to begin her next chapter outside the walls of the hospital.

We are grateful for all the BAYADA nurses—including Ashlee, Alyssa, Schonda, Katelyn, Stacey, and Nicole—who worked together to prepare Aspen and her family for this transition and to ensure she has the care she needs. We look forward to Aspen’s journey and to all the milestones and memories she will make at home, where she belongs. ❤️

Since 1963 Pat has dedicated her life to caring for others. For more than six decades, she has served not just as a nurse, but as a healer, teacher and advocate. nursing has always been more than a profession for her-it has been her calling.
From the beginning of her career, she has embraced every challenge with compassion,strength and grace.
She has witnessed nursing evolve through the decades of change yet one thing has remained constant, her unwavering commitment to her patient and the art of caregiving she has touched, countless lives, comforted families, and their hardest moments. Pat truly embodies what it means to be a Bayada hero, living proof that when nursing is your calling, it becomes a lifelong mission to care for others. Meet David!

David is a 24-year-old young man with a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy and Seizures. He is approved for skilled nursing care 16 hours per day, 7 days per week. He is alert, follows commands and uses sign language and the Go Talk App on his IPAD for communication. David leads a very active lifestyle attending an adult day program, outpatient therapies and many other activities including going shopping, bowling and McDonald’s accompanied by his nurses. He ambulates with intermittent assistance and adheres to an exercise schedule daily. David enjoys a regular diet supplemented with GT feeds when needed and has a Cochlear implant to assist with hearing.

He lives in Belford, New Jersey with his mom, dad and dog, Bear. Come to BAYADA and join David’s nursing team. Contact me to learn more: 609-661-4030.
