Beyond the Connection is a free two-part training series designed to equip you with the tools to foster meaningful conversations, offer a listening ear, and connect individuals with the resources they need.

Each session builds upon the last, helping you develop skills in active listening, crisis support, and resource navigation.

If news about wars, humanitarian crises, or global conflict has been affecting your mental health, know that you are not alone.

According to World Psychiatry, the mental health of the civilian population is one of the most significant impacts of war and major conflict. Whether you’re directly or indirectly affected by a crisis, your feelings are valid.

Mental Health America has resources to help you cope with global conflicts, like war, terrorism, geopolitical tension, territorial disputes, and political instability.

When a young person becomes involved in Monmouth County’s youth justice system, families are often left trying to understand a process they never expected to face. The Family Navigator – Partners with Families Program at the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County exists to make sure they do not have to face it alone.

This free program provides compassionate, peer-based support, advocacy, and system navigation to parents and caregivers of youth involved in the youth justice system. Our goal is to reduce barriers, connect families to essential community services, and help create better long-term outcomes for youth.
This program is court-referred only. When a youth is scheduled on the youth justice calendar, our Family Navigator, Christine, receives the referral and personally reaches out to the family. Families cannot self-refer, ensuring support begins at the moment it is needed most.

Through this program, families receive:

• Guidance to understand the youth justice process
• Advocacy to ensure their voice is heard
• Connection to trusted community resources
• Ongoing support rooted in empathy, education, and empowerment

We are not just helping families navigate a system. We are helping them find stability, clarity, and hope.
Most families do not know this support exists until they need it. While it is court-referred only, share this post to spread awareness of the program.
