Our residents, staff and family members had the distinct honor of visiting the Artemis 2 on the launch pad. We had a private bus and tour guides. We realized later we were there on the 40th anniversary of the Challenger explosion! So many of our residents worked in the space program and were giving us their own history lessons. The day was incredible! We were given Artemis badges for each resident. Bob actually videoed the Challenger explosion in flight as he was a NASA photographer. He was unable to go on the trip but we made sure to personally give him his badge and then he shared more stories of his NASA days with us.🚀

Hickory Creek had a very eventful day! Our residents and staff went to the
Artemis 2 launch pad on the 40th anniversary of the Challenger explosion (which only a few of us realized the date)! We are waiting for staff, residents and their families to send in all of their amazing pictures. We will have a full post up tomorrow of this incredible experience at the Kennedy Space Center!

He did it again folks…please wish Dr. Ian Henderson a very happy 101st birthday! We have been throwing him a party since he was 98 and every year he pinky swears that he will see us again the same time, same place next year! We will hold him to it! Look at the kisses Ian is still getting…from his girlfriend Dr. Norma Campell and our Executive Director, Dr. Diana Kuzma! Yes, all three have their doctorates! Ian was Norma’s college professor 75 years ago! We all love you Ian and can’t wait to celebrate you this time next year! 🎂🥳🎈💯
