We had an epic MOEfit Ruck Club ruck this morning right here in Titusville. Early alarms, quiet roads, heavy packs, and one hell of a sunrise to remind us why we do this.

Huge shout-out to everyone who showed up and chose hard things before most of the world even poured their first cup of coffee. This is what building real fitness—and real community—actually looks like.

This morning’s MOEfit Ruck Club ruck was one of those quiet-awesome ones. Dark skies, that thin strip of fire on the horizon, and just enough grit to wake the soul up. Huge shout-out to Jenny for getting out there with me and soaking in the sunrise on Gator Creek Rd. Solid miles, good conversation, zero excuses.

Also… nature provided a bonus photo of a raccoon making a very hasty exit, because Florida gonna Florida.

MOEfit Ruck Club is ON for tomorrow morning. 💪🌅
📍 Meet: MOEfit — 410 S. Hopkins Ave, Titusville
⏰ Time: Wheels up at 6:00am sharp
Here’s the rundown so nobody shows up guessing:
• Any backpack with 20+ lbs is encouraged
• Weight vests are a no-go — no water storage, no room to shed or add layers, and that matters
• We’ve got a few rucks available if you need one
• Distance will be roughly 4.5 miles
• We’ll be back at the gym by about 7:30–7:45am
As usual, we tend to luck into killer sunrises and the occasional wildlife sighting that makes you forget you’re carrying extra weight for fun.
This event is FREE TO ANYONE IN OUR COMMUNITY.
Show up, load up, and get your steps in while the rest of the world is still asleep. 👊

TITUSVILLE SNOWBALL FIGHT LEAGUE

Location: Right in front of MOEfit, Downtown Titusville
When: This weekend

Forecast: “Florida cold” with a 100% chance of bad decisions.
Thanks to our totally real, definitely insured, absolutely not imaginary rented snow-making machines, we will transform downtown Titusville into a winter war zone.

League Rules (read carefully):
• No face shots (unless you deserve it)
• Gloves recommended, trash talk mandatory
• Snowballs must be hand-packed—no ice rocks, you savages
• Winner earns bragging rights and the right to say “remember when it snowed at MOEfit?”

This is what happens when you train for hard things…
Sometimes the hard thing is throwing frozen water at your friends in Florida.

What Is MOEfit?

At it’s core, MOEfit is a philosophy. MOEfit is a new way to look at approaching the “functional” side of getting fit and, more importantly, staying fit. Yea, we look and feel a little like a Crossfit gym and a storage unit had a baby, but we are much more than that. We believe that getting your workout in for the day should never be considered just “working out,” instead it should be considered “training.” Now at this point, you’re very likely thinking, “But I’m not training for anything at the moment.” While it may be true that you’re not currently training for a half or full marathon, triathlon or Spartan Race, you absolutely ARE training for something. You are training for life. You are training for something that may happen to you seconds after reading this or 10 years from now.

Here’s an example I love to give in classes...Let’s say you’re in the third story of a building that catches fire, there’s no way to get out. Your only option is to hang out the outside window till the ladder truck arrives, and it’s still 4 minutes away. Do you have the grip strength to hang there for 4 minutes? In another scenario, you’re hiking with a friend and they get bitten by a Coral Snake and start feeling too dizzy to walk. You call 911 and EMS is on the way to the trail head but you can save precious minutes of your friends life by carrying them there ahead of time to meet. Are you strong enough to throw your friend over your shoulder and carry them a half a mile to save their life?

It’s true that these far our scenarios will probably never happen to you, but I can assure you...other things will! Think of it this way, how many things have ever happened to you so far in your life that “probably will never actually happen?” Exactly.

So that’s who we are. Yes. We’re a gym. Yep...we do weightlifting and running and burpees and pull ups. We flip tires and push and drag heavy things around, but we have a greater goal mind, and the thing is....you’ll accidentally turn into a fit beast in the process!!
