We’re grateful for leadership that understands the importance of showing up in Washington, D.C. for the annual American Hospital Association meeting and on Capitol Hill. Being at the table matters. It allows us to engage directly with decision makers and advocate for the needs of our hospital, our patients, and healthcare across Georgia.

Patient Experience Week is a great reminder of what healthcare is really about—people.

This week, we’re celebrating the connections, compassion, and care that shape every patient experience in our hospital. From the first hello to the final follow-up, our team is committed to making every moment count.

To our staff: thank you for the kindness, empathy, and dedication you bring each day.

And to our patients and families: thank you for trusting us with your care. 💙

A big thank you to Dunkin' Toccoa for treating our team to donuts as they signed up for the Georgia HEART Hospital Program 🍩

The Georgia HEART program gives individuals and businesses a simple way to support rural hospitals like ours while receiving a state income tax credit in return. It’s a win for our community and the care we’re able to provide every day.

We’re grateful for businesses like Dunkin’ who help make moments like this even sweeter and for everyone who chooses to invest in local healthcare 💙

Congratulations to our local radio station, WNEG Radio, on celebrating 70 years of service to the community.

A special thank you to the Gaines family for their long standing contribution and commitment. What a beautiful day and honor to attend such a meaningful event, highlighted by the plaque dedication. Main Street Toccoa presented the plaque, which is permanently installed on the original building. Connie Gaines also spoke, sharing reflections on her family’s role in the station.

As shared by Main Street Toccoa, watching the commemorative plaque be unveiled at the station’s birthplace was a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come since the Gaines brothers first “flipped the switch.” It was an afternoon filled with pride, storytelling, and deep gratitude for the pioneers of local media.
