Wildflower Family Chiropractic We aim to help families discover health and wellness through a natural approach. About the Chiropractor

Dr. Seitz grew up just outside of Tama, IA.

Early in life she was inspired by her father to look into Chiropractic. Although, her first degree was in animal science, her passion for helping people emerged and she changed her course. In her plan to move towards wellness she discovered a few health concerns she had and was unsatisfied with the answers she was given. Between the fatigue, weight gain, and hair loss from hypothyroidism, and pers

onality changes associated with severe hormone imbalances Dr. Seitz was desperate to make some changes in her life. Her first Chiropractic experience was in 2006. The doctor explained how removing nerve interference the body will heal itself. Still skeptical, Dr. Seitz was given high doses of antibiotics to relieve a sinus infection she had over spring break. Those high doses killed all the good bacteria in her body and she was left with all the bad, an infection known as Clostridium Difficile. She recovered several months later with the help of probiotics, more antibiotics, and Chiropractic care. Shortly after, Dr. Seitz was rear ended causing whiplash. With that, her migraines peaked. After a few months of continued care, her migraines dropped in number and severity. With all the help Chiropractic did for her, it solidified her path to bring natural wellness to the community. In 2012, Dr. Seitz began schooling at Palmer College of Chiropractic. There it was discovered she had Scoliosis, a lateral curve in the spine. She was devastated but with the support from chiropractic she has been able to overcome the fears she associated with the condition. During her time at Palmer, Dr. Seitz met a chiropractor who also worked with functional medicine. Between his specific adjustments and supplementation, and making changes to her diet, she has had her hormones rebalanced and no longer has a thyroid condition. By changing her life and embracing all aspects of chiropractic her health has never been better. Through all of these life experiences, she was being prepared for the vital work of helping people reach their full health potential. Throughout her graduate school career at the prestigious fountainhead, Palmer College of Chiropractic, she succeeded by constantly studying and researching the most effective ways to be healthy and bring that health and wellness to the community. Dr. Seitz’s passion is to educate and support as many families as possible so they can reach their full health potential through natural chiropractic care. Over the past years she has seen her dream become a reality; Seitz Family Chiropractic is an up and coming clinic in the Tama-Toledo area. Seitz Family Chiropractic and Dr. Seitz will continue to educate more and more people on the principles of how the body functions and the importance of supporting innate within the body through eating nutritiously, exercising, and most importantly removing nerve interference through chiropractic.

Warmer weather brings more time outside 🌤️. Sports, exploring, and unstructured play all introduce new movements, surfaces, and challenges for adolescents. Each new experience asks the body to adapt and organize its responses over time.

The nervous system coordinates how these changes are handled 🧠🌱. Balance, reaction time, and recovery all depend on clear communication between the brain and body. As activity levels increase, that communication helps the body adjust to new demands and build resilience through repetition and experience.

Chiropractic care focuses on supporting these pathways so the body can continue adapting efficiently 🌿. By reducing stress within the spine, adjustments help maintain coordination and support the body’s ability to recover and respond during active seasons.

If your child or teen has been spending more time outdoors, post below and share what activities they have been enjoying lately. We are here to support growing bodies as they build strength and resilience 🏃‍♂️

We are moving! Somehow it feels like this process has been going on forever, while also feeling like Demolition Day was just this past weekend. In reality, it was back at the end of January.

Here are some previously unshared photos from that day. We were blessed to have so many friends show up ready to help tear out carpet, remove wallpaper, and tackle plenty of other projects that needed to be demolished and hauled away.

We are deeply grateful for everyone who has helped with this renovation and move. Your time, effort, and support have meant a great deal to us. Thank you.

Pregnancy places new demands on the body as it adapts and responds to constant change. The nervous system helps coordinate these shifts, influencing how the body manages stress, maintains balance, and supports both mom and baby throughout each stage.

Chiropractic care focuses on supporting nervous system function by addressing areas of tension within the spine. As that communication becomes more efficient, many women experience improved adaptability, comfort, and a greater sense of ease as their bodies continue to change.

Consistent care during pregnancy can help support resilience and regulation, creating a steadier foundation for both maternal well-being and the developing baby.

During pregnancy, your baby is constantly moving and settling into positions that support growth and preparation for birth 🤰🌿. These shifts are part of a natural progression as the body works toward delivery. Positioning in the womb can influence how comfortably this process unfolds.

The mother’s structure plays an important role in this environment 🧠. When the pelvis and surrounding tissues move well, there is more opportunity for the baby to find balanced and functional positioning. When stress builds in these areas, it can affect how easily those movements occur.

Chiropractic care during pregnancy focuses on reducing structural stress and supporting alignment so this process can continue smoothly 🌸. Gentle adjustments help create a more balanced environment as your baby grows and prepares for birth.

If you are curious about supporting healthy positioning during pregnancy, post below or send us a message. We are here to support both you and your baby throughout each stage of development 👶✨

Big stress → developing brain

Divorce.
Illness.
COVID.
Transitions.

The brain adapts to survive, not to learn.

And sometimes… development pauses there.

Your child may not be behind, but they may be stuck in a moment their brain hasn’t resolved yet.

The teen years are marked by rapid growth and constant change 📏🌱. Limbs lengthen, posture shifts, and movement patterns must continually adjust to a changing body. During this time, coordination depends on how well the brain and body stay connected.

The nervous system carries the signals that guide balance, timing, and control 🧠. As growth accelerates, those signals need to move efficiently so the body can keep up with new demands. When communication stays clear, teens often experience smoother movement and greater body awareness.

Chiropractic care focuses on supporting these communication pathways 🌿. By reducing stress within the spine, adjustments help the body organize growth in a more coordinated way, allowing development to unfold with greater ease.

If your teen is in a season of rapid growth, post below and share what changes you have been noticing. We are here to support growing bodies as they adapt and develop ⚽
