Wildflower Family Chiropractic We aim to help families discover health and wellness through a natural approach. About the Chiropractor

Dr. Seitz grew up just outside of Tama, IA.

Early in life she was inspired by her father to look into Chiropractic. Although, her first degree was in animal science, her passion for helping people emerged and she changed her course. In her plan to move towards wellness she discovered a few health concerns she had and was unsatisfied with the answers she was given. Between the fatigue, weight gain, and hair loss from hypothyroidism, and personality changes associated with severe hormone imbalances Dr. Seitz was desperate to make some changes in her life. Her first Chiropractic experience was in 2006. The doctor explained how removing nerve interference the body will heal itself. Still skeptical, Dr. Seitz was given high doses of antibiotics to relieve a sinus infection she had over spring break. Those high doses killed all the good bacteria in her body and she was left with all the bad, an infection known as Clostridium Difficile. She recovered several months later with the help of probiotics, more antibiotics, and Chiropractic care. Shortly after, Dr. Seitz was rear ended causing whiplash. With that, her migraines peaked. After a few months of continued care, her migraines dropped in number and severity. With all the help Chiropractic did for her, it solidified her path to bring natural wellness to the community. In 2012, Dr. Seitz began schooling at Palmer College of Chiropractic. There it was discovered she had Scoliosis, a lateral curve in the spine. She was devastated but with the support from chiropractic she has been able to overcome the fears she associated with the condition. During her time at Palmer, Dr. Seitz met a chiropractor who also worked with functional medicine. Between his specific adjustments and supplementation, and making changes to her diet, she has had her hormones rebalanced and no longer has a thyroid condition. By changing her life and embracing all aspects of chiropractic her health has never been better. Through all of these life experiences, she was being prepared for the vital work of helping people reach their full health potential. Throughout her graduate school career at the prestigious fountainhead, Palmer College of Chiropractic, she succeeded by constantly studying and researching the most effective ways to be healthy and bring that health and wellness to the community. Dr. Seitz’s passion is to educate and support as many families as possible so they can reach their full health potential through natural chiropractic care. Over the past years she has seen her dream become a reality; Seitz Family Chiropractic is an up and coming clinic in the Tama-Toledo area. Seitz Family Chiropractic and Dr. Seitz will continue to educate more and more people on the principles of how the body functions and the importance of supporting innate within the body through eating nutritiously, exercising, and most importantly removing nerve interference through chiropractic.

Spring has a way of reminding us that life moves in cycles 🌱. Dormant systems begin to wake, energy shifts, and growth becomes visible again. The same pattern exists within the body. Every cell is constantly moving through processes of repair, renewal, and expression.

Your nervous system coordinates this ongoing cycle by directing communication throughout the body 🧠. When those signals travel clearly, the body can complete its natural processes more efficiently. When interference builds, that flow may slow or become disorganized.

Chiropractic care focuses on supporting clear communication so your body can carry out its full expression of life 🌿. As the season shifts and activity increases, this can help your system adapt with steadiness rather than strain.

Spring has us thinking about renewal, SHARE BELOW what changes you are noticing in your body or routine. We are always open to a conversation about supporting your health naturally 🤝

The Webster Technique focuses on balance within the pelvis and surrounding soft tissues. When the body is more balanced and adaptable, it can support a more comfortable pregnancy and create an environment where baby can move with greater ease.

Babies are constantly responding to the space they have. As they grow, they shift and settle into positions that fit their environment. When that space allows for freedom of movement, many will naturally move head down as birth approaches.

If the environment is more restricted, babies may adapt by settling into other positions such as breech or posterior. Supporting balance and mobility in the pelvis can help create the conditions for more ease and movement during this stage of development.

Did you know your spine is the main pathway for communication between your brain and body? When joints and nerves aren’t moving optimally, signals can get
slowed or disrupted, which can affect focus, learning, coordination, and even emotional regulation.

Neuro-based chiropractic adjustments gently restore movement and remove interference in the nervous system, helping the brain work at its best.

Here are 6 Ways Neuro-Based Chiropractic Care Supports the Brain

#1. Improves Brain-Body Communication
Adjustments restore optimal spinal and joint movement, which helps nerve signals travel more efficiently between the brain and body, improving coordination,
motor skills, and overall processing.

#2. Enhances Sensory Integration
By optimizing nervous system function, chiropractic care helps the brain better interpret sensory input, like touch, movement, and balance, is crucial for learning,
attention, and emotional regulation.

#3. Supports Stress Regulation
Proper spinal alignment reduces tension on the nervous system, allowing the brain to regulate stress hormones more effectively. This can help kids stay calmer
and more resilient in challenging situations.

#4. Boosts Learning & Cognitive Function
Neuro-based adjustments can enhance prefrontal cortex activity, the part of the brain responsible for focus, planning, problem-solving, and impulse control,
helping kids learn more efficiently.

#5. Strengthens Neural Plasticity
By improving nerve signaling and removing interference in the nervous system, chiropractic care creates a better environment for the brain to form new
connections, supporting skill development and adaptability.

#6. Supports Emotional & Behavioral Regulation
When the nervous system is balanced, the brain can process emotions more effectively. This often shows up as improved mood, fewer meltdowns, and better
social interactions.

Supporting the brain and nervous system early helps lay the foundation for learning, resilience, and adaptability, from the inside out.

For a newborn, the world is entirely new 🌎✨. Light, sound, touch, temperature, movement. Every moment brings sensory input that must be received, interpreted, and organized. Your baby’s nervous system is constantly adapting as it learns what each experience means 🧠🤍.

As sensations are processed and compared to previous experiences, patterns begin to form. This is how babies learn what is safe, what is familiar, and how to respond. When neurological pathways are clear, responses tend to be smoother and more regulated 🌿🍼. When stress lingers in the system, babies may appear unsettled, tense, or easily overwhelmed.

Gentle chiropractic care supports the communication between brain and body so adaptation can unfold with greater ease 🌸✨. We strive to support their natural ability to process and organize the world around them.

If you have questions about your newborn’s regulation, sleep, or comfort, we invite you to reach out and share what you are noticing. We are here to support your family as your baby grows and adapts 🤝.

Chiropractic care supports healthy bodies and well-regulated nervous systems at every stage of life.

Care during pregnancy can ease in-utero tension and prepare the body for birth.
Children benefit from support as they grow and adapt.
Adults seek care for specific health concerns or general wellness.

The goal is to strengthen adaptability, resilience, and overall function so individuals and families can live fully and with vitality.

Birth is powerful. What follows is a season of reorganization 🍼🤍. Hormones shift, tissues heal, sleep changes, and your nervous system recalibrates to constant responsiveness. At the same time, bonding deepens through touch, eye contact, and presence. Your body is adapting while your heart expands 🌿.

Every experience has an effect. Physical strain, long feeding sessions, lifting, and emotional intensity all place new demands on your system 🧠✨. When communication between brain and body stays clear, recovery can unfold more efficiently and regulation becomes steadier rather than reactive.

Chiropractic care supports your nervous system as it adjusts to motherhood outside the womb 🌸. It is important to not rush healing. Instead, create the conditions for your body to respond appropriately to what this season requires. If you are navigating tension, fatigue, or simply want thoughtful support during recovery, reach out and share how you are feeling. We are here to walk with you through this transition 🤝.

We appreciated this article from Pathways because it offers steady reassurance in a culture that often turns parenting into a performance. The message is clear: “proper” parenting does not look the same for every family, and it does not have to match an idealized image to be meaningful or effective.

In Redefining Parenting Success, the focus shifts from outside expectations to internal standards. Advice from doctors, relatives, friends, and online voices can be helpful, yet it becomes overwhelming when their priorities replace your own. The article encourages parents to treat outside input as tools rather than rules and to measure success by whether their child’s needs are being met in a way that fits their unique circumstances.

From a chiropractic perspective, this aligns closely with the principle of innate intelligence. Just as the body has the capacity to organize and adapt when properly supported, parents have an internal guidance system shaped by connection, observation, and care. Trusting that intuition, asking for help when needed, and adapting as your child grows creates a strong foundation for family wellness. There is no single template. There is responsiveness, growth, and resilience.

If you’ve felt pressure to meet someone else’s standard, this article offers a grounded reminder that you are allowed to define success within your own home.

🌱 Salutogenesis is the study of what creates health.

Chiropractic care is rooted in this perspective. The focus is on supporting the body’s inherent capacity to heal, adapt, and maintain balance over time.

When the nervous system functions with less interference, communication within the body improves. That clarity supports regulation, resilience, and overall wellbeing.

Health is the expression of the body’s ability to grow, respond, and thrive; not the absence of symptoms.

Have you noticed that today’s kids seem to get overwhelmed more easily?
Or that what used to “work” for parents or teachers doesn’t seem to help as much anymore?

It’s not just you and it’s not your child’s fault.

We’re living in a new era where children’s brains are processing more stress, stimulation, and change than ever before.

That’s why as a Brain Blossom provider, we’ve built everything (from our environment to our communication) around helping kids feel safe, seen, and
supported.

Because when a child’s brain feels safe, it can focus.
When it feels understood, it can connect.
And when it feels supported, it can grow. 🌱

If you’re ready to understand your child through a brain-based lens and help them blossom from the inside out, we’d love to support your family.
