Wildflower Family Chiropractic We aim to help families discover health and wellness through a natural approach. About the Chiropractor

Dr. Seitz grew up just outside of Tama, IA.

Early in life she was inspired by her father to look into Chiropractic. Although, her first degree was in animal science, her passion for helping people emerged and she changed her course. In her plan to move towards wellness she discovered a few health concerns she had and was unsatisfied with the answers she was given. Between the fatigue, weight gain, and hair loss from hypothyroidism, and personality changes associated with severe hormone imbalances Dr. Seitz was desperate to make some changes in her life. Her first Chiropractic experience was in 2006. The doctor explained how removing nerve interference the body will heal itself. Still skeptical, Dr. Seitz was given high doses of antibiotics to relieve a sinus infection she had over spring break. Those high doses killed all the good bacteria in her body and she was left with all the bad, an infection known as Clostridium Difficile. She recovered several months later with the help of probiotics, more antibiotics, and Chiropractic care. Shortly after, Dr. Seitz was rear ended causing whiplash. With that, her migraines peaked. After a few months of continued care, her migraines dropped in number and severity. With all the help Chiropractic did for her, it solidified her path to bring natural wellness to the community. In 2012, Dr. Seitz began schooling at Palmer College of Chiropractic. There it was discovered she had Scoliosis, a lateral curve in the spine. She was devastated but with the support from chiropractic she has been able to overcome the fears she associated with the condition. During her time at Palmer, Dr. Seitz met a chiropractor who also worked with functional medicine. Between his specific adjustments and supplementation, and making changes to her diet, she has had her hormones rebalanced and no longer has a thyroid condition. By changing her life and embracing all aspects of chiropractic her health has never been better. Through all of these life experiences, she was being prepared for the vital work of helping people reach their full health potential. Throughout her graduate school career at the prestigious fountainhead, Palmer College of Chiropractic, she succeeded by constantly studying and researching the most effective ways to be healthy and bring that health and wellness to the community. Dr. Seitz’s passion is to educate and support as many families as possible so they can reach their full health potential through natural chiropractic care. Over the past years she has seen her dream become a reality; Seitz Family Chiropractic is an up and coming clinic in the Tama-Toledo area. Seitz Family Chiropractic and Dr. Seitz will continue to educate more and more people on the principles of how the body functions and the importance of supporting innate within the body through eating nutritiously, exercising, and most importantly removing nerve interference through chiropractic.

Most parents don’t realize just how powerful this little nerve is, it’s like the brain’s built-in “reset button” for stress, focus, and connection.

Here’s why it matters:
1️⃣ Regulates stress and helps your child stay calm
2️⃣ Supports digestion & gut-brain health
3️⃣ Boosts social engagement & connection
4️⃣ Improves focus, memory, and learning
5️⃣ Balances the nervous system for sleep, heart rate, and overall growth

3 Vagal Tone Exercises to Try:
• Deep, slow breathing – breathe in for 4 counts, out for 6 counts.
• Gentle humming or singing – stimulates the vagus nerve via the vocal cords.
• Neck/shoulder stretches or gentle massage – supports relaxation and nervous system balance.

Supporting the vagus nerve helps kids regulate, focus, connect, and thrive.

At Wildflower Family Chiropractic, we use brain-based strategies to optimize vagal tone and help children reach their full potential.

If your child's vagus nerve needs more support, we can help!

Every thought, feeling, and expression begins with the nervous system.
When the body’s communication pathways are clear, we experience life more fully. We connect more deeply. We love more freely.

Chiropractic care supports this harmony between body, mind, and spirit so you and your family can express life as it was meant to be lived: connected, calm, and thriving.

🧬 A Different Kind of Fertility Conversation

So often, the conversation around pregnancy focuses on what the mom needs to do: how she can prepare her body, nurture her baby, and create a calm birth experience. But rarely do we stop to consider what the father contributes beyond support, late-night snack runs, and the role of “s***m donor.”

This Pathways article dives deep into the overlooked truth: male fertility isn’t just about s***m count; it’s about vitality, adaptability, and legacy. The health of s***m reflects the health of the whole system. Every 90 days, a man’s body rewrites the story it will pass to the next generation.

From a chiropractic lens, that message aligns beautifully with our understanding of innate intelligence. When the nervous system is balanced, the body doesn’t just function better, it communicates better. That includes the messages carried in every cell, every system, every generation.

This is a conversation worth having. Because when both parents are supported and connected to their innate potential, conception and creation become expressions of true health.

What we call “attention-seeking” is often the nervous system calling out for connection.

Meltdowns, clinginess, and “acting out” are stress signals, NOT manipulation!!

When we help kids regulate through chiropractic care and improve their tools for processing their world, they can access calm, connection, and cooperation naturally.

Does your child show sign of needing more support? Learn more about how we help by checking out our website in our bio. Or call 641 484-5588 to schedule a phone consult!

✈️🍪 Travel, Treats, and Tension ✈️🍪

The holidays bring excitement, family time, and plenty of memories. They also bring travel, late nights, and more sugar than usual. For kids, all those changes can add up to tension in the body and stress in the nervous system.

Chiropractic care helps little bodies adapt. By keeping the spine aligned and communication clear, their systems can better handle new environments, long car rides, and the extra holiday fun.

When the body can adjust with ease, kids feel calmer, sleep better, and enjoy the season more fully.

✨ Want to help your child move through the holidays with more comfort and calm? Let’s start that conversation together.

✨ Whiteboard Topic Retrospective ✨

Every week, our whiteboard shares a thought meant to inspire reflection on the wisdom of the body. We started this new series to give everyone one last chance to pause and consider each topic, even if you were rushing through your visit or didn’t make it in this week. Share your reflections below, and don’t forget to check the whiteboard next week for a new message!

This week’s focus: Nature moves in rhythm, the Universe in order, and the Body towards health—if we let it.

In the office this week, we explored how the body naturally tends toward health and healing. Often, it’s our interference; physical, chemical, or emotional; that gets in the way of that innate process. Just as nature moves through seasons, our bodies have rhythms too: times for rest and digestion, times for healing, and even times for necessary stress response.

When we allow those rhythms to flow without stagnation or resistance, the body can do what it was designed to do: move continually toward health. Your body is wired to survive, but with the right support it can thrive.

🌿 Trust the order within.
✨ Support the rhythm, and let healing unfold.

🌱 Growth requires connection.

Just like a seed needs clear pathways for nutrients to reach it, your body depends on the nerve system to communicate and coordinate every function. When that communication is hindered, your ability to adapt and thrive is too.

Chiropractic seeks to restore that connection so your innate intelligence can do what it was designed to do: adapt, balance, and grow well.
