The vision of A.B.L.E. is in honor of the late Bryan M. Williams.The organization has created a scholarship in honor of his name with the first recipient being his son. The second portion of the scholarship will go to a high school graduate who has overcame many obstacles in their high school career.

I was born a black man in America, who has struggled and fought for every opportunity given. I’ve made the best out of what I have. Being the President and CEO of A Better Life 2 Embrace my vision was to encourage our young black men and women to become successful and that ANYTHING is possible. We protest, we stand, and we fight for what’s right!! Being a diversity and inclusion trainer it is my MISSION to EDUCATE and SPREAD awareness of the unjust. In addition being a NAACP member and African American Leadership Council Member it is my MISSION to encourage young people to be apart of organizations to push for change!! Racism is real, and no more SILENCE!!

Exciting News!!!

A Better Life 2 Embrace (A.B.L.E.) has been growing. With our focus being behavioral health for children and adolescents inside the classroom and outside the classroom we are also addressing their academic needs. If a child is struggling academically it could be due to their behavior or they’re acting out due to them struggling academically. A.B.L.E. is the ONLY behavior health organization with an academic component. We have an educational specialist with a reading endorsement and rated accomplished on the OTES Ohio’s Teacher Evaluating System since 2014, School Psychologist, Ohio para professionals, and we’re currently seeking a special ed teacher/ part-time. In addition A.B.L.E. will have it’s own nurse where we will provide physicals and regular check ups beginning Mid August 2019. So many of our families are not going to the clinics. We are here to provide holistic care, and to remove all barriers.

If your child has attended Young Men and Women For Change Behavior Modification Program in the past or present, with the parents consent they will receive additional support from A.B.L.E.

A Better Life 2 Embrace LLC is a Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Agency for children and adolescents located in Toledo, Ohio. We're a new and growing team ready to change the lives of the population we serve and our team.

A Better Life 2 Embrace LLC is in need for compassionate professionals who are looking for a friendly environment to successfully care for the individuals we serve in our community. Currently we are looking for LSW/LPC (LISW/LPCC preferred) needed to complete diagnostic assessments, treatment planning and provide group and individual therapy to children. Here at A.B.L.E. LLC we strive to meet the needs of our clients. Candidates may have some travel and community based work to meet with clients to perform diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, individual and group therapy. Candidates must be comfortable going into a school setting to perform diagnostics assessments.

Qualified candidates must have strong clinical skills including the ability to make clinical decisions, knowledge of therapeutic principles and practices, thorough knowledge of DSM-5 and strong group process skills. Pass BCI & FBI checks and valid drivers license.

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Current State of Ohio LSW, LPC, or MFT license in good standing

Family-centered perspective

Ability to work with diverse collaterals

Preferred, but not required:

Master’s degree in human services

Experience with family-therapy, trauma treatment, delinquency issues, and/or substance abuse treatment

Demonstrated long-term clinical experience with children and families

A.B.L.E. has exciting news to share!! A.B.L.E. Just isn’t your typical behavior health agency. We approach every situation by looking at the framework of that child. We understand the challenges a child may go through in a classroom which may trigger behaviors. Our goal is to have each and every child excel at their highest point.

We now have an educational specialist who will head the educational component. What does this mean? Well, not only are we addressing the behaviors of the individuals we serve we’re ensuring that we assist them to excel academically!! Let’s increase those test scores, and graduation rates!!! Together We Can!!!

A.B.L.E. Also understands that each child doesn’t meet the criteria of a diagnosis. So what happens to that child if he/she doesn’t have anyone to talk to? Is it fair enough to say that the child possibly could go into a depress state. In order to move the needle forward we have mentors in place. We want to save our youth before things spiral out of control. With the consent of the parent a mentor will also speak with your child.
