🙌 Big changes at Team Recovery!

We've given our recreation space, The Dugout, a brand new purpose. What was once just a place to relax is now repurposed as a dual-use space where clients can also gather for group sessions.

As we welcome more people than ever seeking a path of recovery, it's so important to have spaces that feel both safe and supportive. This dual-use space is another step toward expansion and making sure everyone who walks through our doors has a place to heal, to belong, and to grow.

Recovery is about more than treatment; it's about community, connection, and hope. And now, we have even more room for that.

On October 15, 2025, Team Recovery will officially turn 10 years old!

As this amazing milestone approaches, we’ll be taking a look back at where we started and how far we’ve come.

This first throwback is of the lobby in our Outpatient facility. A front desk and lobby area is crucial because this is where individuals are welcomed as they begin their recovery journey. We knocked down a wall, built out an inviting new reception space, and turned it into the front line of Team Recovery.

We had a special guest visit our Administrative office recently. Meet Blue.

During his short but impactful visit, Blue:
đŸȘ‘ Tried out a desk life, though he prefers ear scratches over spreadsheets.
🌳 Hosted a very productive “outside meeting," where lots of smells were covered.
🐕 Suggested new company policies of mandatory belly rubs & treat allowances.

He may not be a full-time coworker, but Blue definitely boosted morale at the pawffice.

Team Recovery is welcoming community volunteers to lead evening support meetings at our Detox and Residential facility. Meetings will be held 7:00pm–8:00pm, seven days a week.

We are seeking individuals and organizations, passionate about making a positive impact!
Meeting topics may include (but are not limited to):
- Addiction and Recovery
- Grief and Loss
- Mental Health and Wellness
- Motivational and Inspirational Speaking
- Financial Literacy and Life Skills
- Physical Health, Fitness, and Nutrition

If you are interested in sharing your expertise, story, or encouragement to help support individuals on their recovery journey, we would love to hear from you!

Let’s celebrate Miguel on his graduation from Team Recovery!

When asked what makes him most proud today, Miguel shared:
"Finding I have the capability to accomplish goals that I set—making my family proud."

And when reflecting on what he’s achieved during his time here, he said:
"My biggest accomplishment was finding the feeling inside of me that I can live a life of fulfillment without using substances."

Recovery isn’t about never falling, it’s about having the courage to rise again, no matter how many times life knocks you down. Every setback you’ve faced has only made you stronger, wiser, and more determined.

Your strength isn’t measured by perfection, it’s measured by your persistence. And if you’re still getting back up, you’re already winning!

We call this place “The Outfield”. It’s conveniently tucked between one of our recovery house apartment buildings and our outpatient clinical office. As you can see, when we bought the building there wasn’t much there
 but we saw potential in the space, just like we see in the beautiful people we serve! We love providing comfortable and unique spaces for our clients to call home. Kudos to our facilities team for beautifully transforming this area.

Funds from the $7.4 billion Purdue Pharma opioid settlement are being directed to communities for treatment, prevention, and recovery. Region 4, Lucas County, is asking for your input to decide where those dollars should go.
