Over the past month, the Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio (KFNWO) has proudly partnered with the The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences to bring vital kidney health screenings directly to our community.
At the Lucas County Senior Expo on September 16, and again at the Williams County Senior Event on September 30, our volunteers provided free blood pressure, blood glucose, and A1C screenings to local seniors — helping identify early warning signs of kidney disease and promoting proactive health management.
Together, these events served more than 100 community members across Bryan and Lucas counties — making them among our most successful outreach efforts this year! None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our incredible partners at the The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences and the coordinators who welcomed us into their events.
Under new leadership, KFNWO is expanding its commitment to education, prevention, and awareness—all while continuing to provide direct support to those living with end-stage renal disease. This year alone, we will serve over 500 individuals across our 20-county region, and we’re just getting started.
To keep programs like these growing, we invite you to join us at our upcoming fundraising event—an evening dedicated to sustaining lifesaving kidney health programs throughout Northwest Ohio.
