Volunteer Opportunities
Kidney Krusaders - is a broad umbrella of volunteers that includes a variety of opportunities. These opportunities will have a direct impact on patients and assist in educating the community about kidney disease. This will be accomplished through spending time with our dialysis patients playing games, educational quizzes and other fun learning opportunities, either monthly
or quarterly at dialysis units. Other events include speaking to civic groups or other organizations; and being a representative at health fairs. Kidney Kids - is a club for children who either have kidney disease or have a family member that is affected by kidney disease. The club with provide educational and group activities for kids to better understand kidney disorder and how it can affect them and their families. BellaBlossoms - is a group of altruistic and creative woman enterprising for the growth of KFNWO's mission to raise funds and awareness. We are an informal group of women who want to help our neighbors facing kidney disease. We believe in the powerful impact women can make when they join together to make a difference while enjoying each other and life. Kilometers for Kidneys, Kidney Klassic and The Annual Wine Affair. The Events Committee leads these events towards the success in raising money for our patients. Renal Resource Peers (RRP) and Transplant Assisting Transplant (TAT) - are peer to peer support programs. Trained volunteers give support to patients and/or their families by listening to their concerns. Volunteers are matched with patients in a confidential manner. This program is not medical related; it is intended for emotional support. Office Volunteers - are always welcome to help with answering phones, data entry and other small office duties. Team up with the KFNWO staff and other volunteers as we meet the need of our patients.
